actually there is. Someone had posted a link sometime last month where JP
an MP discussed the story in length. They mentioned that the Hypnotist was
indeed the reincarnated soul of the killer and such..
I'd post you the link But I never bookmarked it.

I say it was Dr.X.....In Suite sister we learn the preacher was dead :"Into
my barrel of death he turned...the holy water red, as he died he said",
etc....Nikki killed the preacher,, but he (Nikki) returned to Mary after
seeing Dr.X (after getting high and not getting out of the operation
successfully) and she was dead....Dr.X took her out to keep his stranglehold
on Nikki....Also, At the end of Video:Mindcrime we see that as well...Dr. X

Mike...you're right. I haven't listened to the Necromonicon mp3s on LiTS,
because when I saw the exact same file sizes, I ASSumed that they were the
ones I recorded. My apologies. I'm glad to hear that someone actually took
the time to record directly from the Sega game...which I was starting to
wonder if anyone even had!

anyone feel like breaking the official word to the brother ?
I remember someone posted a "theory" when SFAM first came out that the
hyptnotherapist took a second job as a pizza delivery guy, and that Nick
fell asleep at the end forgetting that he had ordered a pizza, and the Hypno
just decided to freak him out. Send that one to Jehrico. I laughed my ass
off.
As far as the "how long before james starts using electronic voice-fixing
techniques?" thing goes, IMO james has no need for them in the studio. His
singing on DT albums has always been strong and relatively clear ("Death is
the first dancing turtle" sounds that way no matter WHO sings it =^). True,
he isn't that great live, but he seemed fine at the New Haven show, and the
general opinion on the jam is that he's better than ever in concert. Blah
blah blah, yakkety shmackety......
Songs DT will should cover:
Gentle Giant - Free Hand
Mahavishnu - Eternity's Breath, I & II
Platypus - Rock Balls/Destination Unknown
Peter Gabriel - Sledgehammer
The problem with DT covers is that they don't really personalize the songs
AT ALL, but try to reproduce the original exactly. But they're still
cool....

The local classic rock station in my area actually uses songs from King

I re-read that post and I think I came off more negative than I intended to,
and I know that was a personal reaction because I'm sick of seeing Berklee
worship. I just wanted to take a step back and correct myself.
If you do your research, and can try to stay objective, and Berklee comes
out on the top of the list for you, then GO TO BERKLEE! I didn't want to
give the impression that it was a bad school at ALL. I just wanted to make
sure no one thought it was some kind of haven for Prog and Shred. That
haven does not exist in a college format. :)

Hi all -
I need some help from anyone who has the bootleg "Baptism Of Fire" boot by
Angra. It was put out by OAN records. Anyway, the red on black printing on
the tray card makes it impossible to read the dates and venues of the 3 shows
on the boot. Does anyone know when and where these were recorded, as well as
the track breakdown as to what was recorded where? I couldn't find mention
of the boot on the OAN site, so I was hoping some of you could help.
Thanks in advance... Matt T.

Not really. Restaurant managers actually pay attention to me when I complain
about waiters - because I'm so clean-cut, and therefore honest. Bartenders,
door guards, and bouncers will actually WAIT to hear my reply after they
shout "you got a problem?" - because my grooming and dignity demand courtesy
and respect. When I get pulled over by police officers, they ask why I'm not
a police officer - because I'm so formal and polite and must be even more
boring than they are. No one ever suspects I'm the culprit for anything -
because of my sincere and proper demeanor. None of this would be possible if
I had a chain running from my nose to my ear a la Jane Child.
Nothing written in the above paragraph is true, except for the part about
Jane Child having a chain running from her nose to her ear. (well okay, the
guy from Skid Row had one too.)

Think "The Warriors." I look like the Baseball Fury with the bright red face.
I tend to glare a lot more these days.

> Bethesda? ;)
Bethesda is UPPER Chevy Chase because Chevy Chase is UNDER Bethesda. Chevy
Chase was built in the underground parking garages of downtown Bethesda. Rent
is really high because you have to pay for parking every time you drive in.
But what's REALLY going to bake your noodle is THIS . . . would you still
have mentioned concrete sidewalks if I'd had a chain running from my nose to
my ear? Nevermind, have a cookie, by the time you get past the first chunk of
walnut you'll feel "right as rain," whatever the hell that means...

Huh, I discovered it recently, although it's not much of an

CuteFTP 3.5 has AWESOME search engine for mp3s! It searhces

much details as speed, connecteion of the ftp servers etc.
It's really great, you can found whole albums you always

Hi all...I'm new to the list. Does anyone out there chat with or know
the email address for a guitarist from Pennsylvania by the name of Brian
Larkin? We were discussing getting a band together about a year or two
ago...he also came to my house and jammed a little on his guitar...
Anyway, he was a big DT fan, but I didn't really know or get into the DT
stuff I heard at that time (I was mostly into bands like Queen, Styx,
Ozzy, etc...stuff more along the line of classic/art rock...I still love
those bands by the way)...but, recently, I've TOTALLY gotten into
DT...especially since I bought their new album which kicks some MAJOR
A$$! I'm even learning some of their new stuff at my guitar lessons :)
Since I have a new-found interest in DT, I became interested in
contacting Brian again to talk about possibly getting together to jam
and /or talk about forming a band. So, if any of you are aware of Brian
Larkin from PA and his email address or another way I can contact him,
let me know!

I always thought HE killed Mary. That's why he looks into the eyes of a
stranger at the end.

Well, ok, since you said 'please.' :)
They had three at the show here (Minneapolis).
1) Black. Orange-tone pic of the band on the front, and 'Dream Theater'
in blue letters. Tour schedule on the back in orange letters over a
blue majesty symbol.
2) Black. Album cover pic on the front, with "Dream Theater, Scenes From
A Memory, Metropolis 2000" in yellow. Back is the band member's names
in yellow, and the pic of the "suicide note".
3) White. The "newspaper article" on the front. Majesty symbol and "Dream
Theater, Metropolis 2000" on the back. All printed in black.
There's a hat, too. Black w/ a big majesty symbol.

Hey, another totally a propos question...
how much of a crowd does the Roseland accomodate? I've been surfing on the
web (including the Roseland's website) and haven't been able to find out
this information. It might have come up during the concert reviews, but I
am really interested to know since I was there and it was sold out. :)
Thanks in advance!!
