            I've used GoldWave on Windows (www.goldwave.com). It's free and
    has quite a few features. I've also heard good things about Cool Edit
    and Soundforge but I haven't used them and I don't think they're free
    (though you can probably evaluate them for free).
            These programs will allow you to edit WAV files after you
    extract them from your CD.
