    >i think that if you'd get DT to play a limp bizkit song to the
    >same crowd the reaction would be totally different.

yeah... probably along the lines of:
"Who the ***K are these guys?"
"Buncha wannabes doing Bizkit. How lame!"
    "Put on Kid Rock!"

    >Have you ever heard a musician say, "Nothing inspires me, as a matter of
    >fact, I hate all music, even my own music pisses
    >me off...."

Andrew Lloyd Weber was sued a few years ago because someone
thought he stole a song. His defense: he goes out of his
way to avoid listening to any other music.
(my view: throw them both out of court. One's a money grubber
and the other has a pretty lame defense.)

I was wondering if anyone out there had the piano part to Through Her Eyes, and would be willing to share.

    Thanks. -A lurker unlurking

As far as I can tell this is a la Mystical Potato stuff... except that both are ONE hand tapping:)) He grabs the neck with his right hand and mutes the strings near the nut while arpeggiating with left hand using hammerons only...typical Satch, sounds and looks killer:)))

Engines of Creation is unbelievable....(now tell me which of Joe's CDs isn't?)

    Wojto

ps:as they say, officially out of lurking mode?

Now, I have a question for you Guitar Guru's in the list....In Power >Cosmic II, the main riff - is it done by sweep picking or by two handed >tapping (a la Mystical potato head, Stu Hamm stuff). At first I thought it >was sweep but now that I listen to >it more... it seems more like some two handed shit. > >Those who haven't heard it yet ....Joe's gone Techno. > > >------------------------------

    Jammers,

Not sure this has been posted yet. I was one of the Napster users who got banned by Metallica. Kind of pissed me off. Napster is only one of, who knows, hundreds of places on the Internet where you can download songs. But I recently heard something about a new program called Gnutella which allows users to share files, not just in MP3 format.

Anyway, they had a link to a Flash animation which was pretty funny. Check it out for a good laugh!

I'd be willing to transcribe this for you (it probably wouldn't take me all that long to do it) but I'm very busy for the next few weeks. If you aren't in any hurry, I could do it for you no problem.
