Yeah. Any Finns out there who have it? I attended the show, too, and it rocked! And I think there are more of us Estonians (or whatever it is that you call us) who were there and want to "reminisce old novelties".

Hmmm... Definitely disagree that it's a soundboard. Too much crowd noise, though the recording does sound very good. All copies of that show that I"ve seen have the "glitch" in the first few minutes, probably from a DAT problem or microphones not plugged all the way in the DAT. The Stockholm show and both Oslo shows also sound very good from that leg, as well as Dusseldorf (although all copies of that show start with Fatal Tragedy due to DAT probs).

And, IMO, the best DT boots ever will not be from this tour (unless you're talking purely sound quality, which I'm not). :-) Maybe if they didn't play the whole album every night.... (Pfft.)

<< Is it possible to tighten or loosen the tension on the whammy bar itself? I ask because the bar on my Ibanez 540R is just swinging in the breeze and I'd like to have it stay in a certain position so I can grab it easier while I'm playing. The bar being loose also causes it to have a little bit of play in it when I try to pull the bar up or down. The bridge is an Ibanez lo pro edge and the bar just pops in, as opposed to screwing in like some do. I notice there are two plastic gaskets on the bar itself, on the part that goes inside the bridge - could those be be worn down and be the cause? -Dan >>

I know the exact problem you have, my JEM's bar does the same thing. Very easy: Take the whammy bar out of the socket, remove the two white bushings, (the gaskets) at the bottom, paint some clear nailpolish in the grooves, let it dry, pop the bushings back on and your all set. It's totally safe for your guitar and it works like a charm.

If you ever need anymore whammy, (Mainly Floyd Rose..) go to www.jemsite.com, they have a whole tech section there that deals with set-ups and tricks and things.

<<well...la ti da....excuse us mozart....maybe we should start a list in your honor then..and forget these dream theater guys that only play one instrument...>>

Dear Lord no, Mozart was only trained with piano and the harpsichord, this man is SO much more talented than the afforementioned! Maybe I can use him on a project I have coming up...."Adventures Of The Egomaniacal Madman"....which is really a loop of Steve Vai's "When I Was A Little Boy" track played over and over, and little snippets of "Fuck Yourself" added :-)

    Warm Regards, Andy

At the very least you owe an apology on this list to those who run the fan club (who read this) for your finger pointing.

Well, after several botched attempts to upload the file, I finally got the NEW and IMPROVED version of TLF uploaded to my website; this one sounds MUCH better (without the nasty 60-cycle hum), and is encoded at a higher bitrate (it's at highest-quality VBR, which puts it at about the same file size as it was when it was encoded at 192 Kbps, if actually a little bit smaller).

The file may be downloaded at http://cout.dhs.org/tlf-lit.mp3.

    > I really don't believe a CD-Player won't read a properly burnt CDR.

I don't know why it is, but some older cd players can't read burnt discs. I've got an old 4x in my computer that works fine, but can only read some CD-R's, while my new 36x can read all of them.

    > There are no newsletters, you get 4 quality colour magazines each > each, even someone as stupid as you can work out that adds up to > a magazine every 3 months. One is possibily overdue right now, > but I don't see anyone else here bitching.

That's because they've already bitched about it. If I were a member of the fan club and STILL hadn't received my Xmas cd, I'd be bitching, too. Assuming it is the FC's fault (which it may or may not be, I don't know), I don't care how many people you've got working for you, people have paid you money for a product and you have a responsibility to deliver in a timely fashion. Producing a christmas cd in June is not what I would consider to be timely. But, like I said, I have no idea who's at fault, whether it be the FC, the Post Office, or that little gnome who steals my socks.

Thanks to Mr. Bleacher for the help with my tremolo. :-)
