Oh, look, it's the guy that auditioned for the guitarist spot in my band last month. (We, uh, didn't take him.)

I got ten bucks that says Ricardo's as talented at all these instruments as he is at being modest. Anyone?

Well... Given that "progressive" is not a noun, and that Faith No More was never really "stable" and never even "regressed" as far as the music goes, there's really no basis to say the band was not progressive, because they surely PROGRESSED a lot. And Faith No More ROCKED a lot too, so maybe I'd even venture as far as calling them THE PROGRESSIVE ROCK BAND. :-)

    Syllogisms rule.

Joke? I'm sorry, but I do not joke around when it comes to music. Who are you calling an idiot!!???!? Just because I am musically trained? I started playing music when I was 6 years old with the violin. Then by 8, I picked up the cello & the guitar. By the time I was 12, I could play nearly any string instrument out there. So I started to learn the drums and I, also, started to take opera lessons. I did not pick up the piano until I was 17, but by then, it was pretty easy to learn. So, Andreas, you could think this is a joke, you could think whatever you want. But, at least, I know I am not. You could pick up any my 4 CDs that are out there. They are kind of hard to find, since they are very limited. My personal favorite CD is my first release (1991) "Coles".

    Well, take care. Ciao. :)

Now "A Small Victory" that is an amazing melody with amazing tone. Great stuff. Mr Bungle is very progressive. I wonder what Mike Patton thinks about prog rock?

Is it possible to tighten or loosen the tension on the whammy bar itself? I ask because the bar on my Ibanez 540R is just swinging in the breeze and I'd like to have it stay in a certain position so I can grab it easier while I'm playing. The bar being loose also causes it to have a little bit of play in it when I try to pull the bar up or down. The bridge is an Ibanez lo pro edge and the bar just pops in, as opposed to screwing in like some do. I notice there are two plastic gaskets on the bar itself, on the part that goes inside the bridge - could those be be worn down and be the cause?

    hi,

I just got the Through her eyes single - yeah, I know, a bit late. And this single sucks. DT could do a lot better.

First of all, the choice of song is bad, IMO. I mean, THE fits well in SFaM, but like this, taken separately, it ain't much of a song. Not better than Hollow Years (which won on the suck- contest a few weeks ago - and I agree). Anyone can write a song like this. Bands like Toto or something do it well. Even Bryan Adams does it well (well, whoever does his songs). Actually, a part of John's guitar line on the beginning of the radio mix is reminescent of Bryan Adams' "please forgive me". The end whining from James was always a funny U2 Bono tribute for me. Once again, I think the song fits pretty well on SFaM, which, needless to say, I love. But did anyone really think that maybe radios would pick this song up, and play it or something?? Why not release Strange Deja Vu or some cool song then....some song which has the DT feel, the DT personality in it..... ah anyway.....I dunno who brought the decision to release this..... Then the live songs. Well, EXCEPT for the sound sucking (ok, it wasn't a big budget recording/producing thang), the mistakes (yeah, Jordan's monitor), James's singing (UAGM - jeeeez.....), and no soul in songs that used to *live* like "A fortune in lies" (compare with LATM), the songs rule. But I hope they got a bit better since November. I am seeing one or two gigs next month.

Anyway, DT still Rules. But this ain't the sort of 40 minutes of unreleased material I want from them.

I for one strongly disagree with the characterization of Schiller's "Ode to Joy" as "nationalistic"!

For those of you who are still concerned or interested, one of my favorite web sites has posted an interview with Lars. Slashdot (http://slashdot.org) -- News for Nerds, Stuff that Matters -- runs its interviews in a very unique manner. Readers of the site submit questions, and other readers rank these questions. The editors then send 10 to 15 of the highest ranked questions on to the interview subject. It's been almost a month, but Lars has finally responded to the questions that were sent to him. For better or worse, check out the interview at http://slashdot.org/interviews/00/05/26/1251220.shtml.

Okay guys, I am now officially done with school and have over two weeks to finish burning and sending your CDs. I will get them done and sent out immediately. I just want to let you know that I have NOT forgotten you and if you have tried to contact me over the past week, the reason why is that I have been on tour with my school's Chamber Singers group.

I can just see it now; people must think I'm the biggest dick for taking so much time with this, but it was NOT in an effort to dick you over. :)
