I am looking to buy my bass playing friend some new strings for his bass (it is the season to be jolly soon). I am looking for a mystical string known as a Washburn slick. I have failed to get anywhere by looking through bass magazines and serches on the web ( Yahoo turned up a link to washburn.com but that don't exist ).

    Any help ?

    thanks

    Hello Everyone,

Some of you talked last year about this french band "Regency".
Well, I just got their first album (released yesterday) and their music is
    one of the best metal
progressive I've heard since DT and Pain of Salvation.
In the meantime, they changed their line-up and now are composed of a
    instrumental power trio guitar/drums/keyboards.
Their first album is called "Awakening" and IT ROCKS!!!!!!
This is the best instrumental prog metal music since LTE, of which it
reminds me from time to time. There is both intelligence and heart in this
music, with delirious keyboards and heavy guitars, along with a master of
drums, Charles Monzat, who recently released a drum method for the use of
both double pedal and double bass drum which received all but praises in
    France.
You are so going to love this album just like I do!!!!!

You can contact the band through Charles Monzat :
    Regency
    c/o Charles Monzat
    122 rue la Perouse,
    51100 Reims
    fax : +33-326-036-159
You can order the album by contacting him, or their label Brennus Records at

<<anyway, anybody here knows where i can find ANY Final Fantasy
    Soundtracks
    and/or movies-animations?
the composer, Nobuo Uematsu, is pretty good, and i=B4d like to hear
    some
    more
    of his FF compositions.
    thanx guys

www.animenation.com is where I got my FF8 piano collections and
orchestral CDs. They're kinda pricey though. I really wanna get my
hands on the FF7 Reunion CD, which has orchestral versions of Aeris'
Theme, One Winged Angel, and the world map theme, but its been out of
stock for a while. Nobuo is one of my fav modern composers.

Oh yeah, The Christmas CD. Rumour has it that this year's will be the last -
anyone have any hints as to what it might contain?

I wasn't aware that the amount of shredding determined if it was
neo-classical. I foolishly thought it meant having melodies and rhythms
    reminiscent of classical music.

As for the proggy comment, they do have some proggy elements, and I meant
beyond the use of keyboards. Non-standard song formats, instrumental work,
occasional odd meters -- when used sparingly, I call it "proggy".
