    Hey,
A friend of mine seemed to have found the only copy of it, I looked at 3
different stores that stock stuff like that and did not see it anywhere.
Maybe someone actually has good taste in music in New Orleans.

Anyone from teh south going to Progpower? hehehhe.

Another case of watching who you insult on the 'jam... Pink's album is
pretty damned good, and I'm not a big fan of r&b. In fact, I only own 4
discs that can be classified as r&b (out of around 800), but I'm digging
Pink. Oh, and I care enough about sound quality, I'm one of those people
the RIAA should have sex with constantly because I download mp3s and then
buy the CD cuz, well, mp3s are a nice preview and all, but... yeah. There's
no point in me really going on and on about it. We all get it.

On another note... I've been doing a pretty popular serial for my e'zine
    http://anada.net called '80s WARS, where I pit 2 comparable artists/bands of
that wonderful decade against each other to see who really was superior.
I'm very opinionated and what not, so it's a fun read, I have gotten more
feedback on this serial than anything else I've written :) I'm releasing a
new issue today, but also check the archives for more. (In about 2 weeks
I'll be posting my secret plans to find Kevin Moore and duct tape him to my
back so that he can be my friend FOREVER... hehehehehehehhe.)

    Wheeha.

I posted a while back stating that "Lifting Shadows Off A Ring" the
Dream Theater webring...is up for grabs. I'm currently managing a store,
and have just recently started an artist management company, so I no
longer have enough time to dedicate to the webring. Anyone interested
E-mail me emoeglin@wezl.org please note this requires a LOT of work. The
proper individual should posses excellent HTML programming, and graphic
design skills...and must have plenty of free time to dedicate to a
    popular DT site!

Farewell to Kings is my fave Rush CD(Kurt - I hope you enjoy it as much as
I have). It is interesting that Kurt thinks of Rush as a 70's radio band.
I never heard them on the radio in the 70's, the only thing close to prog
    on the radio was Kansas.

I was informed by a friend of mine (an avid DBZ fan) that there was Dream
Theater music in DBZ. They supplied me with a link to www.planetnamek.com,
and sure enough, here's the quote:

"An editorial about the Trunks tape was posted on alt.fan.dragonball
earlier this week, and EX has posted it on his site. What's so special about
this tape? The music. FUNimation has signed on some actual bands (albeit
obscure groups that no one has heard of). The incomplete list for the Trunks
Special is as follows: Dream Theater, Bootsy Collins, Buckethead, and
Slaughter (Bootsy Collins is from the well-known band Parliament Funkadelic)."

Did I miss something? Is this incorrect? Was this a secret?

    To Whom it may concern:

I've recently been in contact with http://www.hardradio.com/
regarding their lack of promotion of the new Symphony X release.
They've informed me that they NEVER received a copy from the label..

In the interest of keeping the metal torch burning, could you please
remedy this? I'm sure internet radio populous would appreciate any
    effort on your part.

       Thank you

    (How's that for diversity... :))

    1) I've got a ticket to Progpower USA. I'm not sure yet how I'll be getting there, but if anyone from the Atlanta area (or points south or in between) is interested in roadtripping up for it, let me know. If no-one from the area, is going, well.... I'll have to fly! :)

    B) New TSO tourdates have just been added to the www.pollstar.site: 12/03/00 Cleveland OH Playhouse Square Center 12/04/00 Cleveland OH Playhouse Square Center

III) Ozric Tentacles, those British maestros of twiddly synth knobs, guitar brilliance and groove-inducing drums and bass, are bringing their all-instrumental show to the US starting in just a few days. I can't recommend their live shows (or, for that matter, most of their CDs) highly enough. Mike Portnoy is a big fan, BTW, but won't be in NY during these dates :(. Full tourdates (W. Coast tour is slated for Feb. 2001): October 24th - Paradise Rock Club - Boston 25th - Trocadero - Philadelphia 26th - State Theatre - Falls Church VA 27th - Wetlands - New York 28th - Wetlands - New York 29th - DAY OFF 30th - DAY OFF 31st - Jack Legs Speakeasy - Nashville TN November 1st - Variety Playhouse - Atlanta GA 2nd - Visulite Theatre - Charlotte NC 3rd - Georgia Theatre - Athens GA 4th - Magic Bag Theatre - Ferndale MI 5th - DAY OFF 6th - DAY OFF 7th - The Comfort Zone - Toronto Canada 8th - Martyrs - Chicago IL 9th - DAY OFF 10th - Gothic Theatre - Englewood CO 11th - Aggie Theatre - Fort Collins CO 12th - Fox Theatre - Boulder CO 13th - Granada - Lawrence Kansas 14th - Shank Hall - Milwaukee WI 15th - Odeon Concert Club - Cleveland Ohio 16th - Webster Theater - Hartford CT I'll be at the Atlanta, Athens and hopefully the Charlotte gigs.

    d) My friends' band Godhead, who (like Ozrics) I've played over Ytseradio and Seismicradio for many of y'all, are also touring, opening for Marilyn Manson as the first band; middle band is Union Underground for the first part of the tour. They're a kewl mix of goth/techno/industrial with standout vocals and synthscapes, so if you like that sort of thing check 'em out. Their new CD, TWO THOUSAND YEARS OF HUMAN ERROR, will be out in Jan. or Feb. They also have the first song on the just-released soundtrack for Blair Witch 2 (which is only fair, IMHO).

--Paul / Pellaz hoping TSO plays a date south of the Mason-Dixon this time around :)
