    Aren't opinions wonderful?! ;)

Mine sways more towards Joe's, though. I don't "get" PoS, but that's ok,
    too.

    hi there,

almost gave up my $ 18 Vai tix yesterday, because the people of the venue sucked so badly , it took me 1 1/2 hours in the cold to get in (while others passed right by me).
anyhoo, could've mad $ 100 with my ticket, but am glad i didn't:

Does anybody beside me think that Vai would make a great actor? I think he has about a million faces which is 999,997 more than some Oscar-winners!
Show was awesome as some people have mentioned. I thought Sheehan was a bit one-dimensional, but apart from that the show rocked. I prefer Keneally, but MacAlpine sure is a good musician.
songs played: Shyboy, Erotic Nightmares, 2nd track from Fire garden, Animal, Bad Horsie, I think Jibboom, Fire (hendrix), Little Wing (Hendrix), Chameleon (SHeehan), For the love of God, Blue powder, 3 tracks from AiUW. Encore were Liberty and Attitude song.
Amazing to see the middle parts of Blue powder, erotic nightmare and animal!

    Sebastian

Methinks, I shall be ordering the aforementioned new DT CD, myself. I don't purchase much at this point (economical situations, etc...) but this, of course, as with any new DT/FW/QR CD, is a must. AN obligatory sale, if you say, though I do hope it is better than SfaM, of which, some was great, but some was also melodramatic, over-the-edge theatrical (as intended, I'm sure), and drama-heavy. I still have to get accustomed to Rudess's style. Not sure how much I like it, or the direction he is subliminally steering the band in (sorry, conspiracy theory there). I also quite enjoyed most of the MP3 for 'The Glass Prison', but the beginning, oh, say 2 minutes, contained a lacking guitar sound, and didn't do much for me. And some of the intervals in the song, and chord changes, are once again, theatrical and dramatic in nature, which seems to be a recuring theme in new DT, which leads me to my conspiracy theory above. But, overall, I did think the song was great, I am interested to hear the rest of the CD. I am avoiding finding any spoilers and further MP3's for this reason. One was enough, and I much prefer to halt any further personal excursions into the DT sound until the CD is out baring a catclysmic earthquake here, or some random tornadic storm. If I stirred up a slight bee's nest of communication, for better or worse, so be it, and let the games begin... now where is my battle helm? lol

    Hey All ...

I'm a bit slow jumping in about this, but I feel I must, just in case. I think the trend that people have been following is the best route to follow. I know Mike may not agree with me, but I will allow talking about the new CD before its release under one condition. The condition being the you explicitly and obviously state that there are spoilers contained in the message. Please make sure to include some sort of spoiler warning in BOTH the subject (for people in ack) and the body of the message (since I know I don't read all the subjects while in digest mode ;).

If everyone follows this, I think people can have decent discussions about the CDs if they already have them without interfering with other people's jam reading experience. It seems like there has been a little more traffic on the jam as of late and I would like to keep it that way and not have a revolution because of information about the new CD. It does seem like it hasn't been the ONLY topic, so let's try to keep it up :)

An Unnamed friend of mine handed me 2 CD-Rs , i thought they were 2 CDRs of Superior's Behind and Younique that i had asked him for (my copies were stolen when my car was jacked) so i thought nothing of them. Only after popping them in my car did i realize what he had given me! :D :D :D :D

This is definately one of the best DT releases ever... thats all i have to say for now... and i havent even started on the 2nd disc yet!

I definitely agree. I can't wait for its release (even if I already have a copy, I'm very excited about getting the CD...I'll be the first in line the day it comes out).

I debated on whether to pre-order or not, and im not going to. I want to get this cd the day it comes out. When ive pre-orderd other CDS (SFAM, LTE2) theyve always gotten backordered and it was a PITA then... I want this the day it comes out!

I'll give you the same advise I've given everyone whenever talk of pre-orders arises.

Many people complain that the only reason they preorder online is because they can't find it at a local store. Well, the solution is simple: pre-order with your local story. Not only will you have the CD the day it comes out, you'll be sending the message to that store that this is an item they can sell, and will end up ordering (and selling) more. It's a nice way to show your support to the local store and at the same time, have them know that there is interest in music beyond the mainstream.

    Just a thought.

Luckily, i can go to any music store around here and find every DT cd on its catalogue (sometimes even the singles) so there really isnt any need to "let them know" since they already seem to know pretty well ;)

HOLY SHIT!!! that post blew my mind. i think the last skadz "proof of life" we had was back when the spam had reached a frenzied peak. by the way, skadz, it's beautiful what you've done with things since then, in regards to the spam b.s. if only we heard from you more often.......:) not the list-moderater type aficionado's have anything else to do with their time.....
