So Mike Bahr posts an ad on alt.music.dream-theater to let the world know he
    is selling a disc.

I check it out cause I know it will be good for a chuckle.

Little did I know how funny this guy still is.

Below is part of the Ebay page describing the item. It took him 2 minutes to
post the item and 3 days to post his auction terms.
This from the loser that ripped dozens of people off after taking their
    money.

    DUH

    <snip>
My name is Michael Bahr, and I specialize in big-ticket items on eBay,
typically CCGs, arcade game hardware, console gaming, and consumer
audio/video. I don't have many "stars" in my feedback yet, but as you can
see by reviewing the feedback comments and my finished auction items, each
one counts. I ain't shipping "beanie babies" here! :) I take auctions
seriously, and if at any time you are not satisfied with what you've read in
my auctions, I am here to answer your questions.

This info sheet is a little lengthy, and I apologize for that, but it's all
info you'll feel better knowing in advance. :)

    P A Y M E N T T E R M S
    * I accept cashier's cheques and money orders, and prefer them to any other
form of payment. I ship immediately upon receipt of this form of payment. It
is also the only payment form I can accept from international bidders,
except for BidPay, more on that below.

    * I accept credit cards through eBay's Billpoint service. The only condition
is that I must wait until funds post from Billpoint to my bank account
before I can ship your item(s). This typically takes three business days or
less, as your purchases are processed immediately by Billpoint. It must
depend on how busy their router is, because I have had purchases post the
same day at times, and I was happy to ship them as soon as the post office
opened the following morning. I have no idea if Billpoint accepts
international payments, so feel free to try it, but you might be stuck using
a money order if it doesn't work.

    * I accept credit cards through BidPay from www.bidpay.com , and I ship
immediately upon receipt of payment. Since BidPay issues money orders as
payment, they can be used for international payment (as far as I know.)
However, they charge a fee for every transaction to the buyer, so they're
really only useful for large purchases. They have a clean track record and
    are very secure.

    * I accept credit cards through PayPal from www.x.com. I am a VERIFIED
Premiere Seller with PayPal. However, their mishandling of my account in
recent months and questionable related practices has turned me from their
biggest fan into an unhappy customer. Even so, I realize that many of you
still prefer to use PayPal, and I will accept it upon these conditions:
     1. International payments cannot be accepted. PayPal themselves has said
they cannot verify or insure payments of this kind, and they issue
chargebacks. I apologize for the inconvenience, but it's their rule, not
    mine.
     2. I must wait until the funds post from PayPal to my bank account before I
can ship your item(s). I have PayPal set to automatic daily direct-deposit
"sweep" to my account, and the typical delay for this is three business days
    or less.

    * I accept personal cheques conditionally, in order to make the transaction
process as easy as possible for you, the buyer. The condition: I must wait
approximately ten business days after receipt of the check for the funds to
clear and post to my account. For security, my bank, Motorola Credit Union,
"holds" ALL personal cheques until they clear, so I literally don't get paid
    until your check processes completely.

    * I accept cash, but only in person from local buyers. Too risky for both of
    us otherwise.

    * I cannot, however, do COD. I have done it three times and got burned three
    times. Strike three, it's out.

    S H I P P I N G T E R M S
It is my intention to charge exact shipping only, postage plus packaging
costs (if applicable). I do not profit on the shipping rates, because as a
buyer, I always hated it when sellers did that. It seems... dishonest.

Remember, postal rates increased as of January 7th. Read all about it on
    www.usps.com.

In the USA 48, shipping, which always includes Delivery Confirmation, is
usually $4.05-4.45 for any priority mail package of small to moderate size,
unless otherwise specified elsewhere in the auction description. If
uncertain as to the total, please feel free to e-mail me to verify. In any
event that you feel you have been overcharged, please let me know and I will
issue refunds and/or verify costs as applicable. Delivery Confirmation is
required, not optional, because according to current U.S. Postal laws, both
shippers and receivers are protected against fraud if they send their items
    tracked and/or insured.

Within the USA, I can also ship UPS or FedEx at buyer's request, buyer
covers the charges. Internationally, I can only ship via USPS-DHL Global
Priority Mail, which is tracked and insured. I am shipping from Tempe,
Arizona, USA 85282 (Phoenix metropolitan area) if you wish to try and
    estimate freight from those services.

    F E E D B A C K

I don't like to give negative feedback, even when it's legitimate, because
deadbeat bidders tend to retailiate, and nobody wins. Please bid only if you
intend to complete the transaction. I have filed non-paying-bidder reports
with eBay when the situations warranted it. Upon no success with an NPB
report, I have no recourse but to leave negative feedback. And even then, I
do this as seldom as possible. I'd rather just have a pleasant, trouble-free
transaction, and I'm sure you feel the same way.

I will always give positive feedback for successful transactions. I try to
keep up with this on a weekly basis, with as little lag time as possible. I
sincerely appreciate positive feedback in return. :)

    M I S C E L L A N E O U S

Finally, I reserve the right to void the results of this auction, at my
option, if eBay should encounter outages or technical difficulties within 12
hours of the auction's close time. I don't like re-listing items, so if the
price is reasonable, I'll probably accept it as-is, but this is my insurance
policy against outages that interrupt the sniping window on big-ticket
    items.

I maintain a lengthy list of arcade-related items for direct sale; feel free
to e-mail and request it, to bahrm@qwest.net.

Thanks for bidding, and good luck! -Mike

Yeah and he is also selling his pre loved already worn concert t-shirts.
The man has no shame, no honour, no balls and will do anything to make
    a buck.

Aye, I couldn't agree more. The LiF demo blew me away the first time I
listened to it and it still has what I believe to be the best intro of
    all time. Strange how a shitty 22kHz 32kbps Mp3 (i think that's right)
can sound so awesome, when the properly produced studio version was a
    major let down.

Looking foward to the next release!

On the matter of Greyhaven and Andromeda - both VERY cool, and just when
I thought my CD purchasing spree was starting to drop off.. :)

    Luke.

Steve White plays for Paul Veller.
Taylor Hawkins used to play for Melissa Etheridge before Foo Fighters.

Vinnie Colaiuta .. a drum guru; technically a master. He blows the limits
    off!

    Stay heavy.

Never listened any Korn stuff, I just knew they are BIG. :)
Few days ago finally heard 2 mp3s and regreted I did. Does nothing to
    me.
But then maybe I'm wrong, ... but is this drummer considered good
    (in the ytsejam community)? :)

listen to their old stuff. the first cd, self titled. their drummer is good,
he just has the (mis?)fortune of being in a popular band where he is no
longer allowed to use his abilities. moo.

I had one of those the other day. I was reviewing a death/doom metal album
called "Quietus" by a NYC-area band, Evoken, on the Dwell label ("More
Tributes Than Magna Carta"), and what was in the credits but:

"Produced by Evoken and Ron Thal. Engineered by Ron Thal. <...> Mixed and
Mastered by Ron Thal at the Hermit Hole."

Checked it out on ronthal.com, and it is indeed the very same guitar whiz
-- turns out he actually does a lot of producing for a very random
assortment of bands. Who'd have guessed it?

Has there been a post with the results of the Ytsejam Top 10 Albums of 2000
yet? Just wondering if I'd accidentally missed it.
