    I'm sure they wouldn't too. :)

By the way somebody mentioned Duff (ex GNR) as replacement for him.
What are those guys doing anyway? :)
Slash' Snakepit was a little fresh surprise but what's with the GNR
    story?
There were rumours they'll work again although not same line-up.

And finaly, what was that - Derek Sherinian, Steve Lukather and Simon
    Philips??? Wow, sounds VERY interesting.

GnR is back. They've played two shows, and they're playing two more in the
next couple months (House of Blues in Houston and somewhere else I
believe). Apparently they're putting on a good show. New album finally
should be out late this spring, titled "Chinese Democracy." They've got
Buckethead and Robin Fricke (formerly of NiN) on guitars, I don't remember
who the bass and drums are. Keys are still being played by Dizzy, he's the
only guy besides Axl left from the old days. I'm definitely looking
forward to hearing new stuff and seeing them, though of course it'd be
cooler with Slash. I really dug the song they put on the End of Days
    soundtrack.

I am asking $300 to start, plus actual shipping charges of around = 30-60 bucks due to its height and size. You know, I was thinking back to how Matt Bahr <g> was always bragging about how he took a knife at Circle K or whatever and how he loved to brag about it like he'd dived on a live hand grenade that was thrown into the center of a Kindergarten classroom.

He was such a fucking goober. -- KorgX3 wonders if "Raise the Knife" was in tribute to his attacker.

they've got Tim 'Herb' Alexander, formerly of Primus on drums.

Still, Guns 'n' Roses without Slash is just 'n'.

Btw, Duff has released a solo album, where he plays almost all the instruments. Not the best stuff I've heard, but still, pretty cool. (credits like this: Duff: Vocals, Bass guitar, Acoustic guitar, 12-strings Guitar, Electric Guitar, Drums) The coolest tracks are the two "Slash walked in and did a solo" on :)

Lenny Kravitz sings on one, too... and Jeff Beck plays on a track...

It would probably be a toss up between SFAM and Queensryche's - Operation Mindcrime, and probably the latter... I know I still play it heaps, whereas SFAM is finally starting to move down the order a bit, but still surprises me everytime I put it back into the CD player. Steve Vai's - Fire Garden would be right up there as well... Boy this is all too hard !!

I had heard the bass player is Tommy Stinson from The Replacements, seems like a unusual combo to me! Any body else remember way back... when the replacements were Dog Breath:) I always enjoyed The Replacements idea of a video..great stuff.

Bogie, if it's what I'm thinking of, doesn't Platt Opus start with that slow piano thing? This is obviously a different show than the one I'm thinking of, but is it the same piano solo that's on OIALT?

Of course, I could be totally wrong. It's been known to happen before.

Oh, yeah? I made a doodie last week in my pant'loons!

Of course, I shook that little walnut down my pantleg where the janitor could find it. :D -- KorgX3 isn't a cactus.

Just want to say thanks to all those who gave suggestions for my Gladiator DVD problem. Unfortunately the software packages need a higher CPU speck than I have, but I am trying to intstall Hollywood Plus application and drivers as apparently this has helped some people. Trouble is I always get MMSYSTEM263 This is not a registered MCI device warning on trying to play a disc... If it's not one thing...

I was just looking at the dates for the Metallica releases - its at least three and a half years since their last proper studio album of original material, and the new one isn't due until next year - nearly five year gap - I personally don't hold out much hope.

    Cheers once again.

I know that Platt Opus starts with Derek's keyboard solo from OIALT. This is a totally different solo that DS did on 12/27/98, which is the intro to Atlantis Part 2 - "Sea of Antiquity". Derek was working on his Planet X solo album at the time, so it makes sense that he played the solo that night. =20

I'll see if I can dump that solo from DAT to MP3 some time soon so you all can hear what I'm talking about.

Bogie, if it's what I'm thinking of, doesn't Platt Opus start with that slow piano thing? This is obviously a different show than the one I'm thinking of, but is it the same piano solo that's on OIALT?
