Hello! Does anybody know if there's going to be a G3 cd released after this upcoming tour? I certainly hope there will be, especially since Dave Larue and Mike Portnoy are the rhythm section for the 3 guitarists!!! Also, I read on the Derek website that Virgil Donati and Billy Sheehan were supposed to be the rhythm section for G3, so what happened there? Another thing, has anybody gotten the bootlegs that Derek is offering of 3 Planet X shows on his website? How are they? Is Dave Larue the bassist on those shows? Alright, enough questions, I hope I get some answers from somebody. Thanks!
I recently got the cd Attention Deficit - The Idiot King. This is an awesome cd!!! If you like fusion, you definitely need to get this cd. This one is a lot more organized than their first one (which is awesome as well, by the way), and is more guitar driven than their first (which I consider to be very bass driven). Skolnick, Manring and Alexander can really make great music.

Nope but I do have a bootleg of the PX show from their show in Sydney on the 5th June. I recorded it on my mini disc, sound quality is A+. I haven't transfered it to CDR just yet, but will be doing so soon. And I won't be charging $20 for each CDR like the PX website does :)

I haven't seen the show yet, so I'm not sure (going to go see it in Boston, though, woohoo!), but I'm assuming he means that when all three are playing together, Mike and Dave are the rhythm section?
