don't know about the sound, but i do know that it was in fact released.
CDNOW was advertising it under the ROCK section of their "New Releases"
mailer. on sale for $12.99. seems like the smart road to take. i'll be
scooping it up from them. let you know then.

Moving, and losing my DSL. :( Combined with a 3 week vacation coming up, I
decided to be nice to my domain provider and not clog up my email account
with a month of mailing lists. So, goodbye for now and see you all in
    September.

It's an original song. The AOAS video is very cool, btw! :)

Is this right? According to the link posted here yesterday, Mullmuzzler
2 will be released on September 11, the same day as the SFaM triple live
album. They should push one of them up a month, IMO :)

    Hey all,

I read this bit of news at
    hardradio.com(http://www.hardradio.com/hr3lead.html). I'm pretty sure
there's a mistake somewhere. I never heard of the name Tony Matassa as far
as DT's history goes. As for Chris Collins, I sure as hell didn't know he
    was still performing!

Legendary ex-Virgin Steele guitarist Jack Starr was invisible throughout the
Nineties, but the dawn of a new millennium has revitalized the Long Island
native. Earlier this year, Starr debuted his new outfit, Guardians Of The
Flame, at the NJ Metal Metaldown. Initially, the band was comprised of
fellow Virgin Steele alumnus Joe O'Reilly (bass) and a pair of former
Majesty (pre-Dream Theater) players, vocalist Chris Collins and Tony Matassa
(drums), although Collins has since left. With another festival appearance
scheduled, August 18th, at the PowerMad confab in Baltimore, the guitarist
contacted BWBK for a rundown of current events. According to Starr, "(I've)
signed a deal with Metal Blade, for the October re-issue of the first three
albums (debut, Guardians Of The Flame and the Wait For The Night EP), to be
made into a double CD with a 24 page booklet. It will also feature bonus
tracks from Jack Starr and The Guardians Of The Flame, recorded in 2001."
(It appears former Burning Starr and current Holy Mother singer, Mike
Tirelli, will help out his old buddy, on record). Additionally, a small LI
based label, Bad Posture, will release an hour long guitar solo, which the
musician promises, "will be a must for fans of shredding. This has never
been done before, me, unaccompanied in the studio." Those seeking more info
can check out the newly opened website, www.jackstarr.com.
