Linkin park is cool... the only thing that annoys me is that they IMMEDIATELY
get compared to limp bizkit and korn.... ... i hate it when that conclusion
is reached because well... i hate both bands... and the guys in linkin park
are nothing like them... they combine so many different types of music in my
opinion... though they can get rappy i have a deep amount of respect for
them... awesome guys.... ohh also any of u guys listen to emo music... i need
some suggestions... lately ive been listening to thursday and jimmy eat world

The new King's X CD "Manic Moonlight" is IMHO their best effort since Dogman. It is very different from the scattered effort that was
Bulbous, which I thought was decent at best. The new CD is definitely worth buying! This one has songs that stack up to the rest of
the catalog. Stand out tracks: "Believe", "False Alarm", "Vegatable", "Static" and the title track. Hope that helps.

i was just recently at the local Media Play, and saw it there. to be
honest with you, i could've cared less for their "mr. bulbous" effort, so
i just kinda passed this new one by without caring a whole lot either.
figured someone on the jam would get it & post some kind of review. felt
that i could hold out long enough.

that's funny that you mentioned this. about a month ago, i saw their
video for "crawl", and thought it was a pretty good tune. however, just 3
days ago i saw the video for "in the end", and promptly picked the disc up
the very next afternoon. only 1 or 2 songs that i tend to skip over
pretty consistently. on the whole though, it's a pretty damned good disc,
and this is coming from someone who *can't stand* limp bizkit or korn.
very pleasant surprise to say the least.

also, for those that pay attention & care, you know that i'll normally put
up a review or two every month or so, most recently being the new tony
mccalpine & the new billy sheehan. well, i just snagged up the new vinnie
moore disc, which will be reviewed shortly, as well as fellow jammer scott
mosher's disc "virtuality", as soon as it arrives in the mail. should be
a day or two. till then,

                                            peace,
                                                    eric

And see, I didn't think the new Poundhound was that good. Mostly filler. And I love the new KX CD. That's what makes this place
interesting! All the different views! :)

It's called "Manic Moonlight" and, to be honest, I'm not too crazy about
it. It's very low-key, and, while I give 'em credit for experimenting
sonically, only a few songs really did anything for me even after several
listens. In other words, pretty weak...at least in my opinion. Go for
Poundhound's latest if you're looking for more of the traditional King's X
    sound.
