Hey! I just found out in the newspaper that there is a new King's X cd
out. Aren't you guys supposed to tell me that days/weeks in advance?
    Some help you are... :) :) :)

Also, anyone else into Linkin Park? I'm not usually into those Korn
Biscuit type of bands, but I just saw the video for one of their songs
and liked it and bought the cd and it's really not bad.
    That's all,
    Trevor

I can get into Linkin Park from time to time, some of their songs are cool
except for the fact that you can sing the lyrics and melody for one song
over any other song and it fits.

    Keep it spooky

It's called "Manic Moonlight" and, to be honest, I'm not too crazy about
it. It's very low-key, and, while I give 'em credit for experimenting
sonically, only a few songs really did anything for me even after several
listens. In other words, pretty weak...at least in my opinion. Go for
Poundhound's latest if you're looking for more of the traditional King's X
    sound.

i was just recently at the local Media Play, and saw it there. to be
honest with you, i could've cared less for their "mr. bulbous" effort, so
i just kinda passed this new one by without caring a whole lot either.
figured someone on the jam would get it & post some kind of review. felt
that i could hold out long enough.

that's funny that you mentioned this. about a month ago, i saw their
video for "crawl", and thought it was a pretty good tune. however, just 3
days ago i saw the video for "in the end", and promptly picked the disc up
the very next afternoon. only 1 or 2 songs that i tend to skip over
pretty consistently. on the whole though, it's a pretty damned good disc,
and this is coming from someone who *can't stand* limp bizkit or korn.
very pleasant surprise to say the least.

also, for those that pay attention & care, you know that i'll normally put
up a review or two every month or so, most recently being the new tony
mccalpine & the new billy sheehan. well, i just snagged up the new vinnie
moore disc, which will be reviewed shortly, as well as fellow jammer scott
mosher's disc "virtuality", as soon as it arrives in the mail. should be
a day or two. till then,

Damn! Anyone see those LSFNY box sets on Ebay! They include the
cd(original cover), video and a t-shirt that looks like it may have been
done by Matt Groening(yellow cartoon people) They were $60 and are all
    sold. :(

    hi folks,
I got mine yesterday !!! The material is so cool, I might just play it over and over and by the time I can't stand it anymore, the new album will be there.
Cool, cool stuff and thoroughly unexpected. Who sang the Zoo??

Btw, is there any way that I can listen to Howard online? The k-rock NY page doesn't seem to have a link...

    greets,
    sab

Stern doesn't allow his show online since stations around the USA pay to
have him broadcast on their stations. However, from time to time there
are some people that stream the show. It's hard to catch because if they
advertise much they will be shutdown. Good luck...

i was wondering if anyone is attending any of the upcoming transatlantic
shows in europe and, if so, would anyone be willing to pick up a t-shirt
    for me? ;oD

we can work out payment over paypal (which is far easier for sending
money internationally than any other method i can think of...) or if
there's a better method, let me know...i'll obviously pay the shipping
    charges, as well...

please e-mail me privately if you would be willing to help me out...

    thanks! :o)

hey there pittsburgh jammers, i have wonderful news for you. wonderful,
that is, if you wanted to own an original copy of the LSFNY with the
original artwork. i work in Greentree at the Parkway Center office
towers, and during lunch i decided to walk across the parking lot to the
Parkway Center Mall for some grub. well, i stopped in their National
Record Mart (3rd level of mall) to pick up the re-issue of LSFNY, and
behold, they say, "it's behind the counter here where it's safe." i
thought, "safe, uh, sure - whatever." the clerk then proceeds to hand me
a copy of the original release on sale for only $19!!! he said to let
anyone else in the area know that they're there, and that there's only 4
more left of the orig. HURRY down there and snag one up. they're keeping
them behind the counter, so you'll have to ask about it. hope this helps
jammers from the area to get their own without having to get raped on
ebay. this is the only place that i'm mentioning this, so jammers have a
better chance of being the ones that wind up getting it. let me know if
any of you can't make your way there. i'll pick you up a copy on good
faith that you will pay for it. clock's ticking.........

                                            peace,
                                                    eric
