    Good morning everyone!

Still got it. Trading in the van this weekend, though - 157K miles on
it, a leak in the oil pan, and about 100 other things wrong. Sniff.
Congrats on the new baby boy!

I've saved a couple of old jams that had posts from Mike Bahr analyzing
all the Rush, Metallica, and DT albums by theme. Those were keepers.

Anyone else remember when FII was still months away, and we got some
"inside info" that the title was going to be "Waiting For Godot?" Or
maybe someone remembers Buck Stodgers? Or maybe not.

    Take care,

Hey again. Wow, now I've already posted twice as much in 2 days as I have
in the last year! I'm buck wild!

Anyways, I was wondering if anyone here was planning on going to see SYL
(that's right, DEVIN and SYL)down here in Santa Ana at The Galaxy Theater
(beautiful venue btw--saw DT there once, it has dinner seats)on May 19th.
Should be a damn good show...after all, it's Strapping Young Lad. I think
it's one of about 6 or 7 shows SYL is doing in America.

Damon F., did you go to the TGI Friday's pre-show party with us back in '96?
I remember I went on that road trip with so little money that I could only
buy 1 beer at the restaurant, and I didn't have enough for a concert shirt!
Being a student sucks--no money! Of course, now that I have a job, I have
money, but no TIME like I did when I was a student. Something went wrong
    somewhere!

    Cheers

Hey... you still around in the Boston area? Didn't really see many people at the Orpheum show... and only ran into 1 person at the Oakdale... really sad when you know more people at a show in NYC (BB Kings) than a show at home... :)

I wanna see the Two Towers trailer. :)

He -is- a firefighter on Long Island. I crashed at his place briefly after the Roseland DVD show -- he was kind enough to give me a ride back to his place and then a ride back to LaGuardia. It worked out well, since the original plan was to crash at Heath "Augie" Augustover's place, and that's a lot farther out on the Island.

I emailed him about the warmup show at BB King's in NYC, but the news about the show caught him unawares and he couldn't get a ticket for it. I was able to get one for him through MP.com, but as it happened, he already had made other plans that night (since he had no ticket) and I had to use the extra one myself since Ticketmaster lost mine in the mail. :(

Madsman, and Arash -- as "progordie" -- are both active on MP.com. I'm not sure who gordie is, or why we should be in favor of him. :) :) > Date: 08 Apr 2002 14:09:09 -0700 > From: "Zachary Gemmill" <Zachary.Gemmill@nsc.com> > To: ytsejam <ytsejam@torchsong.com> > Subject: Re: Old-timers > Joined the original ytsejam list (before ax.com? before that?) when it was in the 20s or 30s, ~1993.

Yea, back before it was on arastar.com.... I'm trying to remember. I guess I was around back then, in the Early Days.

    > what ever happened to Mike B. and his bootlegging?

He's out of that business, but recently made amends with as many old 'distressed customers' as possible, sending big quantities of make-up Cds and merchandise along with the CDs he owed them. Mike is active on the MP.com Forum.

Mike Corso, C-Man? There was some controversy over him being on the 'Jam, but my sacred -- and free, via the Jam -- copy of King's X BUILDING BLOX is still one of the best "best of" CDs I own!

Yep, I'm fairly sure Skadz was there. That was a fun roadtrip, as all of my DT journeys have been, most recently the two shows up in Chicago at the Vic. If any of y'all were at the first show, I was the guy who s/a/n/g/ croaked "Pull Me Under" into James' mic at the end. :)

Suddenly all these people from the past show up, ack!

Let's see what holes/questions I can fill in here.

Dave Neff - Brian Wherry was the fourth person sitting with us. Merlo, he and I drove to Jersey from LI. Someone asked how he is doing, saw him at the show here in Boston a few weeks back, all seems well with him. He's married, owns a house and plays drums now, it's all very strange :)

Steve/All - Check out ftp://ftp.dreamt.org/pub/ytsejam/ You should be able to fill in some holes for your archive there. I'm still trying to search down the ones I am missing. May have to go and chase down Ken Bibb :) (now I am trumping with old school names ;)

I joined November 3, 1994 around 1PM EST :) (yes, I still have the confirmation mail). Looks like Jam 579 was the first I received.

D-Man is teaching at Nassau Community College on Long Island. He spends much of his time trying not to touch the 18 year old girls, in an attempt to not get himself fired. He's still on the list, so he will probably yell at me for saying such things in a future jam.

Yes, it seems as if everyone knows me. I go to shows and random people who I have never seen before in my life come up to me and say hello :) It's gotta be the sweatshirt ;) I probably have met 300 or so people who were on the jam at one point or another, maybe more. I have also housed a number of them for concerts, clinics, etc. I think Bafu and Syrinx slept in the same bed at my house once. That was the Ytsejam sleepover after the Petrucci clinic in Boston. I think we have about 8 people @ my place that night.

It would be really nice to keep the list going like this. Imagine multiple jams a day??? That would be scary. There was a point where we got 4 a day ;) The list size limit is much bigger now, so if we get 2 in one day I would be VERY impressed :)
