Can't compare it to 1995 since I wasn't there, but the 1996 X-mas show at
Birch Hill was easily the most (illegally) packed show I've ever been
to. I showed up late, stood at the back of a sea of human sardines, and
had a dude's beer-gut smashed into my back the rest of the night after the
emergency exit ramp filled up with more latecomers.

MP has finally confirmed that they in fact will be doing the CBS show next
    month!

    Here's what he said:
Click here: Dream Theater performing on the CBS Morning Show
    <http://www.mikeportnoy.com/forum/tm.asp?m=64177&p=3&mpage=1&tmode=1>

Sorry I haven't "confirmed" this, but when it comes to American mainstream
national media, the skeptic in me always says "I'll believe it when I see
it"...but it does seem that this is in fact happening, so I guess we can
    announce this as confirmed!

Is anyone out there going to any DT shows or what? I
haven't seen one revue or setlist since this string of
shows started. If anyone went to Atlanta on the 24th,
please post a revue so I can know what I missed since
I am now on the other side of the world. Thanx.

Wow. I actually think that's kind of funny.

    hi there,
I was wondering if anybody could help me out with guitar tab of that song (again: MSG - Save yourself). I have gotten lazy lately and wouldn't be able to tab it correctly anyways.
    Thanks,
    sab

Hmm, sounds pretty good to me. Thanks for the review. :) Projector is my favorite so far as well - I love the melodies on that one. Haven was pretty good also, though with less hooks in it for me. I guess it would be more than worth it for me to check out the newest one for myself!

Great. :) I guess I wasn't expecting anything too different, I was just wondering if they went back to the really hardcore sound, went more melodic, or stayed with the balance they had with Haven. And yes, if they had headed way back to scary-hardcore sound, I would be less inclined to buy it :)

Awesome, thanks very much for the URL. Am listening to it right now.. it's always good to get away from my own current "mix" of CDs and hear some new things. I really enjoyed the Godhead that started off the show, btw.

    >reminiscing with some others about the infamous Dream >Theater shows at Birch Hell, especially that ->incredibly- packed show (Home for the Holidays, I >think....1995?). Truly scary situation.

I missed that one, though I was at a pretty packed holiday show of theirs a couple of years later there...the one where we waited over two hours for them to actually take the stage & then my RIDE LEFT AND I NEVER GOT TO SEE THEM PLAY MORE THAN TWO SONGS. Yes, that still rankles in my memory...

It's true, Birch Hell has earned its name, but given the fact that Dark Tranquillity aren't playing at any other venues near me, I don't have much choice. :/
