some of the bands come from, so I thought I would come to the definitive

Correction: Make that "there's also an American Sabbath cover band by the
same name." I've never been to one of their shows, but I have seen the
Philly region's own Sabbra Cadabra a few times. Dead on, even the
between-song banter.

Damn, that's too bad. It really -is- a funny show...and I've only been
able to see parts of it.

Actually, it isn't someone you're likely to know...or know of. It's
Jason Miller of the band Godhead; they're all good friends of mine,
almost like family. He was in the very first episode and at least one
other, from what Sharon O. told us. Ozzy is himself a bit of a Godhead
fan.
I tend to like a lot of different styles of music, and Godhead is
certainly not yer basic joe-average prog-metal band (they're
goth/techno/industrial), so y'all are excused if you don't know 'em. :)
For the curious, I'll recommend the cd POWER TOOL STIGMATA as a starting
point. (It -did- earn a slot on Dave "Pixel Planet" Thomas' list of
best CDs of the 90s, and he's One of Us. :))

Crap. When I read this review, I had just gotten the cd, and it was sitting in my "to listen to" pile. So, based on this review and the fact that I really like thier 1994 disc "Beyond the Veil"(instrumental), I moved it to the top of the pile. Needless to say I had huge expectations. Let's just say I was disappointed after I listened to it. It's not bad, I just don't think it compares to Nightwish/Edenbridge/Sinphonia at all. Your mileage may vary.....
