The owner of that website, Phillip Kaplan, used to actually be on the
Jam back in 98 or so, he used to talk about this website he opened up,
then it became huge.

Indeed. Thank f**k they're not playing at Hammersmith again. Great show
and all, but the seating-only arrangement killed me. Who wants to see a
band of this calibre whilst restrained to a seat? (That was rhetorical - I
don't and I realise that some of you may wish to.)
The Astoria is a great venue, probably the second or third best in London
(after Brixton Academy and Shepherds Bush Empire). Big enough to get
established bands, small enough to still be good. I was astonished that
Transatlantic packed the place, don't know if it was a sell out but it was
much more crowded than Spocks Beard at the same venue. The band loved it, I
tell you that much, I think they must have been a little surprised
themselves.
Any bets on the second night surprise? I reckon "Close To The Edge" or
"Hemispheres" are good candidates (now that would be something). They've
covered a metal album, makes sense to do a prog classic next.
Another thing that comes to mind is warm-up gigs. Will there be one? After
witnessing a Transatlantic warm-up show, this is something I would
definitely want to attend...
Anyway, it's going to be a great couple of days...

Background info from the website's main page:
Redemption's self-titled release is the first CD from a project that has been a long time in the making. This album encompasses many musical styles, but it can be best described as dark prog/power metal with a sound that reflects a hypothetical combination of Evergrey, later-period Savatage, Kansas, Iron Maiden and Fates Warning.
The musicians for the majority of the album are, in alphabetical order:
Rick Mythiasin (Steel Prophet) - vocals
Jason Rullo (Symphony X) - drums
Nick van Dyk - lead and rhythm guitars, bass, keyboards
Bernie Versailles (Engine/Order Of The Illuminati) - lead guitar
Guest musicians are, in alphabetical order:
Ray Alder (Fates Warning/Engine) - lead vocals on one track, backing vocals on three others
Mark Zonder (Fates Warning/Warlord) - drums on one track
Chris Roy and Joel Decatur of Reading Zero are also helping out on backing vocals
Michael Romeo (Symphony X) did some fantastic orchestral synth programming for the beginning and ending of one of the pieces.
The album was produced by Ray Alder.
Engineered by Bill Metoyer, Joey Vera and Nick van Dyk.
Mixed by Joey Vera and Nick van Dyk.
