LOL. It would've been classic :)

I agree it's weird to see Samuel L so laid back. I
kept waiting for him to get that intense gleam in his
eye.. never quite happened. Yoda is still a quirky
character.. I think they could have added some zest to
Samuel's character as well - but then again, all the
dialogue could have used a good deal of spicing up,
    IMO!

Oh yeah. Actually, each main character has their own themes.

    Luke = french horn.
    Leia = flutes & Clarinets
    Darth Vader = Brass
Yoda = a good mix of everything, he is wise and encompassing everything
    Jabba the Hutt = Tuba
Ewoks = Strings, flutes & clarinets
Emperor = Strings, tympani & chorus

Watch the movies again, and listen closely. Everytime each character is on
screen there is an instrument representing them. It is quite amazing, how
you think you are listening to one piece of music, but if you listen close
you are hearing something a little different.

Lucas wants to go back and redo the music for Star Wars, to add more of
these themes, that may have come later in the series. Like "the Imperial
March" was from Empire, but he wants to go back and add it to the opening of
Star Wars when Vader makes his grand entrance. (he's even filmed more
scenes to add to the Special, Special Edition with Jimmy Smits as Bail
    Organa)

John Williams is a genius.(minus the slump between Jurassic Park and Episode
    1) You can't hit a homerun every time. ;)

    >>> aahhhhhh, Mortal...... what a wonderful & ever-surprising band they
    were.
their best is a combination of both "Fathom" & "Pura" albums. both
    at
opposite ends of the spectrum of what Mortal accomplished, but both
    at the
top of their form. the stuff they did as Fold Zandura is decent, but
    just
isn't as top rate as Mortal. the F.Z. stuff holds up real well live
    (seen
`em twice), but not as grabbing as Mortal was. oh well, can't win
    them
    all. <<<

Fold Zandura played at my church a few years ago ... I wasn't impressed, but I heard it was a bad mix for them. Still, they weren't all that IMO.

What are the best tracks I should get from Circle of Dust to check out what kind of band they are? You guys have been talking about them, but I'm pretty clueless here.

So anyway, I'll try to track down some MP3s if I know what to look for...

    Okay ... guys ...

A question I've been meaning to inquire about, but I'm just sure someone's going to get mad at my asking ...

I didn't have a job at the end of 99 and was not able to be in the DTIFC when they "released" that CD that had their missing tracks on it.

Does anybody know where I can get a bootleg version of these songs?

.. And maybe WDATodayU as well...

Thanks, and hopefully nobody gets mad and just says "Moron, you should have been in the DTIFC..." :)

[SPOILERS for Star Wars Attack of the Clones]
    .
    .
    .

Yes, the music in Star Wars is fantastic. Williams does a
great job using the old themes to tie things together. It makes the movie
much stronger than it would be otherwise. Another theme shows up when
Anakin is about to go look for his mother and is standing outside the
huts on Tatooine. They play Luke's theme which directly ties into the
scene from the original Star Wars movie when Luke stood in nearly the
same place as the suns set. Also did you notice how Anakin's shadow
on the hut looks like Darth Vader? And the just after that the music
breaks into the Duel of the Fates -- one of the best of the Star Wars
    themes. Very cool.
I've seen it three times now and liked it better each time.
There are about 4 scenes that are too stiff, cliched or awkward for my
tastes (the main one being when Anakin and Padme are sitting on that
sofa), but the rest of the film is fantastic. After Phantom Menace I
didn't think that Lucas could make a movie which would have me believe
that Anakin could turn to the dark side, but he did. Plus, the way that
Palpatine is playing both sides against each other, killing off the Jedi
    in the process is wonderful.

That's because it's Tommy Victor of Prong on the Argyle Park track "Skin
Shed," and playing guitar and co-writer of "Doomsayer." Tommy then asked,
and was given Scott (Klay)'s permission to reuse the riff for "Controller,"
    the "Rude Awakening" track.

About 2 months ago, Yahoo changed its privacy policies, and in the
process automatically reset all its customers' "opt-out" preferences
reset to opt-*in*--- in effect, telling the system "Yes, Yahoo, please
    spam me!"
    (See http://www.langa.com/newsletters/2002/2002-04-08.htm#3 ).
It looks as if Hotmail is on the same path.

I'm a Plus LangaList subscriber and just came across
    this today ( http://www.msnbc.com/news/753687.asp ).
Apparently, Hotmail (MSN/Microsoft) "added" some privacy
options... and, like Yahoo recently did, set their subscribers
options to YES for these new options without any type of
notification. Your list members may be surprised to find out
that they now have "given" Microsoft permission to share their
email address and other profile information which includes
their Birth Date, Country/Region, State, Zip Code, Gender,
Accessibility, Time Zone, and Occupation with other .Net
company sites. While I realize that many put misinformation in
these fields (always a good practice), others likely have not
or could not for various reasons. I personally have two
hotmail accounts, one with bogus information, and another
where I was compelled to use my real information because
Microsoft has forced it's Passport login on its Certified
    Engineers and Partners.

To verify or change these new options, sign into your Hotmail
account, select Options, and then modify your Personal
Profile. Chances are, most will find three new options with
    the aforementioned two enabled.
