We had someone send a bugbear-infected mail to the owners of the SymX list
this morning so the odds of your statement being correct are quite good.
We've had klez-infected mail spoofing symphonyx.com addresses going around
the staff members, but this is the first bugbear mail thus far.
From the IP info, it appears this person's in England, for what it's worth.

Yeah, it could be a great thing. Especially if they replace him with
another GUITAR player who knew how to hit a power-chord every once in a
while (hehehehe). All kidding aside, I could never really get into SB
because I always got the itch for something heavier for balance [not just to
headbang].
Separately, Kerry Livgren did the same thing a couple of decades ago as the
stated reason to leave Kansas. I dont know how he ended up spiritually but
after one KILLER COOL solo album (Seeds of Change) I thought that he really
slipped into the darkness. Har-Har-Har. Shit, I kill me with my humor ....

I wouldn't even think that she has it, necessarily. It did actually
infect the U of Michigan (briefly) and I got some emails that had it at
one point in time. The interesting part of it is that it resends actual
emails, and one of the ones from here was the grad department chair's
email to a student on how to rewrite her thesis. OUCH. Sucks that it
went public.
Anyhow, I doubt that it's Coldfire who has it, and that same email
certainly did NOT turn up on the Sym X list.
At least we've only received one!

Well, you were technically right. It hasn't shown up on the list itself
yet, the one sent today was sent to teof-owner@yahoogroups.com, which
automatically goes to all of the list moderators. Let's hope it stays off
the list itself..*crossing fingers*

From what I've heard, the self-titled album isn't all that great, mainly because it doesn't have Russell Allen on it. But I've never actually heard it, except for I think one song.
I HIGHLY recommend getting the other SX albums. The Damnation Game is great, Divine Wings of Tragedy is a classic, and Twilight in Olympus just rocks. You can't go wrong with any of these three. Let's not forget The Odyssey coming out soon! I'm psyched for this one. You can download a sample MP3 (full track) on www.symphonyx.com.

Actually, it's a very good Symphony X cd, it just doesn't have the vocals that most people have come to associate with SymX. Rod Tyler is a good singer in his own right, IMO, he's just not Russell Allen (who comes out ahead when compared to most singers, not only the one he replaced).
