    few years.

does the #p/g! irc group still exist? :) i havent been there
    in almost 10 years....

    >>> Not that I endorse robbing wonderful bands of their well deserved money... I thought I'd mention anyway that the new Accolade track from The Odyssey are available on a few p2p programs. I couldn't resist when I saw it so I gave it a listen. Of course I'm gonna buy the album anyway but the temptation was too great. The album sounds wickedly great so far IMHO =) <<<

Actually, the Symphony X website (symphonyx.com) has 2 mp3s from The Odyssey for public download, and a third should be released next week.

From the 2 tracks I've heard, the new CD will be really good, though maybe not quite the "Holy crap, this RULES" as 'V' was/is. Of course, it is my subjective opinion that 'V' is the best one so far. I have heard, from some other people who have heard more of the album, that the 2 tracks we've heard seem like what the record label would have us hear first, and that the rest of the album just kicks amazing amounts of ass.

    Here's hoping!

    >>> From: "Brian V. Cox" > Howdy all, > >I havent been around this list in years...just resubbed to give you guys the opportunity to snag some of this stuff before i put it all on ebay. i'd rather see this stuff go to hardcore fans than to record shops or whatever that will be reselling it. <<<

Damn, dude ... there are a couple things here that I've been trying to find for quite a while. Too bad things went the way they did with my frikkin job.

When I get anopther one, I am likely to come back here whining, trying to see if anyone else has a couple of those items :)

Oh yeah... I'm still around... I guess I'm a serious old timer.

    Still there!

I got a lot of gems left, but don't trade anymore. It's a shame since some people will never hear some of the DT/King's X/Marillion masters that I made.

The word from the band is that they will not replace Neal and will continue on as a foursome.

I had forgotten to include Nick's participation on "Calling All Stattions" so I guess that adds some mystique to the theory. And yes, Genesis did interview many vocalists before "settling" on Collins. I would hope that the Beard will just give the job to Nick, who I think has an amazing voice. The next question is will they add a member? They shouldn't need to.

If you wanna hear another new Symphony X song, go to:

    http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbermouth.net/index.aspx

You need to go to page 2 and there's a direct link to download the mp3. It's "Accolade II," the sequel to the original off TDWoT. It sounds awesome and they repeat some lyrics and melodies...I can't wait til November 5th. This cd is gonna be great.

No, that username is only valid on Yahoo. I should know, it's mine. :) I was just a little weirded out when I got that mail, esp since it was "from" someone else with my ID & a different domain than I use...

I didn't get any attachment with it... I'm assuming I'm not infected... anybody have a URL handy where I can run a check to make sure?

I think http://www.antivirus.com (Trend Micro) has a free online scanner. I think the Symantec has one at http://www.symantec.com as well.

If you're using Yahoo! mail, I believe they've got viral filters already in place in their E-mail system (probably why there was no attachment). Certainly never hurts to run a scan on your comp, though.
