Yep, and don't forget the Dream Theater DVD's in-between albums to keep us
    satisfied :)

Well, I have to say that DT is putting them out fairly quickly at the
moment... we had FII in 97, SFaM in 99, 6DOIT in early 2002, and now the new
one around the end of 2003. They're doing one basically every 2 years.

That seems fairly quick to me, or maybe I'm just too used to Metallica...

My brother downloaded this official bootleg for me (Sorry, but it was an offer I couldn't refuse), and I'm glad that I got to hear it before making the decision to buy it or not. I've just heard a few songs, which made me come to the conclusion that I'm definitely not buying this one. James was painful to listen to, and the guest performances weren't that incredible (especially Alder's; Bruce's was better). I can live without it.

Well, my guess is that maybe not. But I have no idea if it was even discussed with the rest of the guys from SB to see if they would be willing to do it. The thing about my question is that, when the news came out about Neal leaving SB, it sounded mostly as if he was saying that God didn't want him pursuing a music career in a band. It didn't come off (at least to me) as saying that he wouldn't be able to talk about what God was telling him to talk about as a member of SB.

John Arch is certainly an acquired taste. I personally love the way he sings and what he does, but I can understand if somebody else doesn't like his singing. I haven't read the lyrics, but what I've listened to has been alright by my standards.

No, Neal never said he was quitting music altogether, just that he was
    "told" to leave Spock's Beard.
There's an interview with Neal on The Dividing Line that answers a lot of
    questions: http://www.thedividingline.com
It's on the 'Archives' page, under the 'Special Event Archives' heading.

Okay, so it's settled that they have another album. How is it? I personally like Enchant, but their best IMHO is still Blueprint, the rest of them I think just attempt to be as good. Not to mention they got rid of Beningus and Craddick, who I found gave the band oomph in their sound. Craddick's got some crazy chops :)

The new CD is really good. Similar to Blink Of An Eye but has the sound of Wounded, very direct not the huge wall of sound. My favorite is still Juggling 9 and yes Paul Craddick is greatly missed both for his drumming AND his songwriting! Sean Flanagan is a solid drummer but he is no Craddick.

You won't be disappointed. It fits in nicely with the rest of their CDs.
