    Mike,
            I think that's a really interesting question. And if Eric is right,
    that James writes most of the vocal melodies, then I'm pretty disappointed
    with James' efforts lately. However, I think that part of the problem is
    that the lyrics may not lend themselves well to vocal melodies. I found
    many of the lyrics on SFAM to be stiff and that's how they came out in the
    vocals too -- more of a spoken story than a song. Writing lyrics which
    create good rhythm and rhyme is difficult and DT hasn't been spending enough
    time and effort on it, imho. I like some of the vocals from ToT, but very
    little of it stands out.
