    >Now for the controversial opinion:
    >I have the album for a month now and:
    >I think the new Bon Jovi album is more original than Train of Thought

Whoah!!!!!! I've been lurking for a long time here..........
I might have a very very biased opinion (Damon F., please back me up!!!!),
    but.........
That might be a little too harsh!!!!!!!

Now I like ToT.......and my phrase to everybody regarding the album is, "This
    isn't your mother's Dream Theater." :-) Now.......the Bon Jovi
    album.....hmm......
This Left Feels Like......Very Very Very Wrong?

For the record....... I did like Everyday and It's My Life, but that album
    has to go!
I see you're making a strong point for your disliking the album, and I'm not
gonna say you're wrong or not... but to compare...........

Maybe I see your point. :-)
    I'm not a BJ fan either. :-)

I concur. I know this guy personally. He plays keys as do I. We live in the
same state and we argue over who is better, me or him, with each of us
giving the award to the other. Trust me, this guy played in a DT tribute
and a Bonjovi tribute band at the same time, he knows what he's talking about.

    >but.........
    >That might be a little too harsh!!!!!!!

Understatement of the month, my friend.

    >Now I like ToT.......and my phrase to everybody regarding the album is, "This

I think that you can't even compare bonjovi to dt. It's like comparing Bach
to Slayer. Two totally different styles.

    >For the record....... I did like Everyday and It's My Life, but that album
    >has to go!
Did bonjovi come out with an album recently? <grin>

No, you just play in a bj tribute band. But, hey, Girls actually come to
your shows. I've heard crickets more times this year than at any point in
my bar band career. I guess NJ bars just don't like Xanadu and 6:00. I
can't imagine why. They're catchy tunes you can dance to.

    P.S. You still can't have my VK7, so don't even ask. <grin>

Well, they're more known, but here at least, the crowd was wayyy more into Children of Bodom than Nevermore. It's CoB's first-ever US tour, and a very familiar scene broke out yet again: people freaking out and chanting for the prior band after their set was over (Opeth before, CoB this time), and then about 150 people went downstairs to the lower bar to wait out Nevermore's set.

A shame, too. Warrel's voice sounded good and they played a good show; they just have a burgeoning tradition of playing right after European bands who are making their first US tours ever (Opeth that last time and now, CoB).

Part of CoB's extremely strong response here (Atlanta) might be attributable to the fact that they get solid airplay on WREK-FM's WREKage metal radio broadcast (www.wrekage.org), for which I'm mostly responsible. :)

Well, it -is- Peter Tagtren's band, after all; a living legend. :)

Well, I can't give you the exact download link for the mp3, but I can tell you that you can go to the james labrie forum on www.jameslabrie.com and look for it in the topic that's called something like "James sings the national anthem". When you enter the topic, the first message will have the link. It's very easy to find. Have fun!!!!!

The vocalist for GTR also has a credit on the Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe album, though this may have been a GTR holdover and not originally intended for the slightly-more-famous Yes sideproject.
