I saw a father at the Petrucci / Portnoy autograph session on Saturday whose
8-9 year old boy was wearing a DT tuque and tshirt. When I asked him how he
got his son to like them, he said that it's pretty much all he plays. He
even said his one year old daughter recognizes a few of their songs. Model
father, I think!!!

Here is the explaination off of the Forum.
Hey guys,
I have 2 MP cds to sell. One is a Pro Mark Collector's Edition Vol. 3 from
2001. It has a previously unreleased six minute drum solo by MP. Unbelievable
stuff. There are numerous other artists but MP's is the best.
The second is Modern Drummerbdrummers too but has a new version of Chris & KevinbIt is a great twist on the original.
Both cds are in their original cardboard sleeves. Both sleeves are slightly
worn with normal use but both cds are in excellent condition.
I would like $35 for both plus the actual shipping.

ahhhh... my stepdaughter was a pop music girl at age 11, yet when I would play the Images & Words CD, she would always listen with me. I even taught her how to "headbang" while in the car listening to 'pull me under' one day.. LOL was a personal highlight.

Quick question for all you keyboardists out there: is there a resource on the 'net that has tips, samples, or perhaps even software that we can use to approximate some of the more aggressive DT keyboard sounds (ala the distorted organ sound that Sherinian used on FII or what Rudess used on 6DoIT)?
