queensryche.com says that he's only got a conflict with the European tour, so
presumably he'll still be on the North American dates?

OK...The Dallas date disappeared from the tour list on the web site -
yet its still on the Queensryche site as well as Ticketmaster. Plus
the UACM newsletter #136 mentions pre-sale tickets for it. So its
just a mistake that it is no longer on the
list...right????....right???? Please say its just a mistake and will
be corrected...please???...please???

Nope, unfortunately. From blabbermouth.com:

My spies have been alerted, and are trying to find out from the
Tabernacle/Clear Channel folks.
> Doesn't bother me actually - because I hate the Tabernacle and I'm going to the Orlando show instead.
I like the Tabernacle. I have MANY fond memories of shows there, SFaM
tour being one of them (and TSO being two others). I can't make the
Orlando show because of work (and I really enjoyed the SFaM show there
also)...
*shrug* I have to say the tour doesn't thrill me as much now as it
did when I first heard about it. Maybe one of the other Fla. (weekend)
dates will be a possibility.

Hey everyone, long time lurker here.
Been a fan since WDADU, and guess what, I never seen the guys live, except on video/DVD. Almost caught them in Montreal early 90's but went on a trip the same week. As far as my excitement to possibly see them in Montreal this summer, well I must say, I would rather spend $ 50.00 (or whatever) to see DT for 2, 21/2, 3 hours that spend that money to see them, 1.5 hours. As far as QR, my last album was Promised Land, and I did not like it, so I lost track of them over the years. Did see them in Ottawa and did a perfect show, Geoff even sang The Roads to Madness with perfection.
So this show in Montreal I'm thinking, should I go or should I wait for their real tour after the new album, and hope they will be in Montreal or even better Ottawa (go Sens go).
Take care

A new "cloaking" application that protects individuals from network snooping is making the rounds among file traders, marking the latest salvo in the increasingly volatile battle between music labels and file traders.
Free software called PeerGuardian creates a personal firewall that blocks the IP addresses of snoops. They can see the names of files being traded, but they can't download the file to tell whether it's a copyrighted file.

Did I see Mike Portnoy on the MTV Icon presentation of Metallica!? I was making dinner and ducking in and out and I swear it was Mike, or hmm, Dweezil Zappa? Was 5-10 minutes before Korn performed "One". I know MP is a fan of the older Metallica stuff.
And what is this band Evanescence about huh? What a thin little voice this lead singer has. Sounds like she's trying to do a Nightwish meets Linkin' Park type thing. It ain't doin' it for me. This album has flown around work here as "The Album to Listen To". I'll tell ya. I've lost a lot of respect for my co-workers lately. I don't know if I'd call this 'singing' but more like 'yelling'
And totally off subject but I need a free DVD player for Win2000 anybody know where I cn pickup one?
Switching to "Wishmaster" as we speak. :)
Hope you guys are doing well!
