I'd consider Primus, but perhaps only because I've never seen them live.
Speaking of concerts coming up, I haven't seen any mention of the G3 tour
this fall. Anyone going to see that, besides me?

Oh yeah, that's on the list of choices, but it's got Satch / Yngwie / Vai
this time, and it's expensive... so nah.

You ain't kidding. The Philly (Glenside) tickets START at nearly $50, not
including the massive-TicketBastard-surcharge.

Exactly. The good seats are 75 i think (canadian $). Not to mention it
sounds like a pure "look how fast I can play" fest, which is cool but not
exactly entertaining. It sort of makes all songs sound the same. I know
that's one of the reasons I didn't like Satch when he played with DT last
year...

I would personally go to see Primus, especially now that they have Tim
Alexander back on the drums!!!!!!

Primus is on the same day as Arena, I think.
Granted both shows may kick ass or suck, it's rare that Arena comes here so
I think I'll check them out instead.

Skip Crimson*, buy the new Arena DVD and go see Primus!!! It's the first
time the original band has played in like 5 years and they are doing two
sets, one of them being the entire "Sailing the Seas of Cheese"
album..They also have a new cd/dvd coming out Tuesday, $9.99 at Best
Buy.
*IMO. I've never been a big KC fan. Someone gave me a free ticket to
their last concert and I liked parts of all of the songs but not all of
any of the songs.....your mileage may vary.

I have the Arena DVD... and it's a tough choice :(
I think I'd have a blast at KC cuz their music in my ears makes ABSOLUTELY
no sense most of the time :)
Just listen to Electrik or Level Five from their most recent album to hear
what i mean!!

I just noticed on the ever-so-popular (sarcasm) Magna Carta records website (really though... what happened to them? most groups left to insideout...) that there's a group with APC drummer, Wallflowers guitarist and Dr Dre / Eminem bassist called Stripsearch. That certainly could make for an interesting combo....
anyone check them out?
