dunno, haven't got the baited breath thing going for
the new Dream Theater quite yet.....but until November
comes.....lately, I've been grooving to the soulful
sounds of echolyn (mostly As the World), and Rush
(Counterparts....gawd I love "Everyday Glory") and
Sepultura (Roots.....bloody roots)
and yesterday, while I was pulling an
it-would-have-been-an-all-nighter-if-
I-didn't-keep-falling-asleep, my music of choice was
provided by Peter Gabriel's Secret World
DVD....brilliant show....

Do you have echolyn's concept one-song epic album Mei? That one is my fave
by them. All sorts of stuff going on in that album!

While I anxiously await November, there are other reasons that month will kick ass besides the new DT. I think I can only afford (and get people to go with me for...) 2 concerts that month, one of which I already have tix for (Devin Townsend / Symphony X). My other choices are Primus, Arena or King Crimson. What would you guys choose?

i guess i'm in the same boat. i'm just patiently waiting for the new release.
it's not like i'm not going to buy it since my b-day is about a week after
and my wife told me she's getting it for me and to act surprised when i open
it.
in the mean time, i'm listening to the new releases of vertical horizon,
fuel, and dave mathews that i just got last week.
also listening to elvis costellos' this years model, bowies' greatest hits,
morphine's cure for pain, better than ezra's good, grant lee buffalo, tom
waits' alice, and random dt songs. but it is time to get of my lazy but and change
what's in the cd player.
on dvd it's been king crimson and cheap tricks' silver. both have nice added
features.

personaly, i'd go see king crimson. i saw them in madison, wi awhile back.
they toured w/ john paul jones. very cool concert. my brother-in-law took me,
which was cool because he got me interested in them back in the late 70's.
a few months later, i took him to dt in chicago. he still thanks me.
you can't go wrong w/ crimson.
