Yeah, it does. I seem to recall reading a better explanation a couple years
ago.
Basically, one is for songs and composition and the other is for the
performance, recording and production. My understanding was that the
song/composition award went to just the artists and maybe the producer and
the recording/production award included the engineers.
I would have guessed that the "album" award was for songs/composition and
the "record" award was for the recording, but these descriptions make me
wonder if it's the other way around.
Of course, both descriptions are hazy, so I wonder if whomever it was that
came up with the definitions didn't know what they were talking about, or if
the person who typed them onto the web site got them confused.
