I'm not much of an ACDC fan, but these guys are nothing like ACDC. The
Darkness is more like the falsetto 80s hair bands. ACDC is more of a
    straight hard rock band.

How much ACDC have you listened to? I'm not saying that everything they play
is a copy, but they play the same style of rock, from what I've seen of The
Darkness. I saw about 6 or 7 songs, I guess. One of their songs starts out
with an almost exact copy of Thunderstruck.

Not that I'm saying ACDC is the most original band in the world :P

I think the music is a lot like AC/DC (with other hair influences), but
the singing isn't. And to whomever said they're a spoof band, correct.
Which makes them even funnier, as large sections of the media and public
are too stupid to realise. It's as if they expect the band to say that
yes, they are a spoof, before anyone will believe it.

When they won a Brit award, the singer said "I have to say, we are
probably the best British group". If that's not Tap, I don't know what
    it.

I think you only have to take one look at the guitarist to realise they're a
    spoof band :P

    ..

or he's on a lot of crack :P

Sounds like a good idea, Mike. I sent the band an email and we'll see what
happens. It sucks because it really makes them look bad even if it isn't
their fault. I remember way back when DT's fan club sucked ass...Gail Flug
was running it and you got an autographed photo if you were LUCKY. lol
