    Greetings, Salutations!
I've not been on the net for more than a week when all of a sudden, I see on my screen a letter from Prortnoy! I was stunned. I sat there and read the letter with a huge puddle my mouth falling to the floor. It was unbelievable. Then, today, I get thirty or so messages telling me that it wasa a fake, fraud, a loose interpretation of the original... :-( I AM REALLY PISSED OFF!!! Tehe person who wrote that letter ought otto be taken out bakck and :
    a) shot
    b) stabbed
    c) drawn and quartered
    d) made to listen to all of Poison's albums until they diefor the rest of their lives
    e) Wawatch Barney until; they commit suicide

or f) all of the above
I personally would choose choices a-d. (no one is cruel enough to make himwatch bBarney) ((although he deserves it))! Well, I feel better now that I have gotten that off of my terminal. Thanx

    Hi all!

As I slowly descend into DT "Get-a-life" fandom, I've taken a
noteworthy step. Last night, I couldn't get the DT logo out of my
head, so I sat down and made a couple of TIFF images of the logo.

They look pretty good, actually. I wish they were in PostScript, but
the software I've got right now won't let me make a nice PS logo.

    Anyway, I've got a small version (about 1.5 x 1 inches) and a large
    one (about 3x2 inches).

If someone will send me the ftp address, I'll put them up on the
archive for all to use on..whatever! (Lunch boxes, letters to mom,
    your next Masters Thesis...)

    Hello ytsejammers,

I've been listening to 'A change of seasons' from DoE a lot lately.
It's one of the best songs ever written IMHO. I like every part of it,
except for the 'please don't go' passage in the end, the sound gets
a bit messy in the end.
Further I must say that when I compare the lyrics with the lyrics from
some other DT songs I must conclude that Portnoy's ability of writing
lyrics is below the average level of DT, in my opinion.
Especially for a song of over 20 minutes one could expect better
lyrics. I think some words are cliche and the overall story is
missing depth (All I can figure out is that it's about growing up /
losing life and love) . Don't get me wrong, there are some good
parts, like the 'so far so few between ...'-part, but overall I must
say that ACOS cannot compare with The killing hand, Pull me under or
Surrounded for example. All IMHO of course. I still hope D.T. will
release this song (as a B-side or so), my only suggestion:
    A Change Of Lyrics :)

I got it today. It doesnt seem to be from the LILI show as there is no
    "Home sweet home".
But James does a lot of joking and so on, so it should be possible to
decide if it is from any known show. At the beginning of "Surrounded"
for example he asks "All right...how many of you got the new album?!".
More details when I have the time....
    >>>
James askes how many people have the new album before Surrounded on the Dance
    of Eternity discs....

I have seen this band play! in fact, the performance in question was the DT
show that the singer mentioned. To be honest, I was not expecting much,
considering the poor quality of most local openers in north florida.
To my surprise, I was completely blown away by the performance and creativity
of the band. It surprised me that of the two bands (Inferno and DT) I could
not decide which put on a tighter performance. I *highly* recommend this band
to anyone who appreciates decent music.
BTW, I purchased their album from a local shop a month ago and I
must say that it is one of the *best* progressive metal albums I have heard
    of recent. no joke.

oh god, its like a heavy rush album only more intricate and ethereal.
the vocal melodies are great! All of the members are good, but the drummer
stands out especially. if you are into Watchtower-like and jazz-like
drumming, get this because I am certain this guy will impress you.
Good solos too! bass player is killer. Reminds me of the guy in Nudge

Has anyone else been getting digests out of order. I just got YTSE
371 at around midnight (beginning of 4/13) and the date was April 10?
I have noticed this alot recently... Email is usually quite quick...
Most of the time, messages from Boston get to Texas or Arizona w/in 10
mins (usually instantly though) and all of these are taking so long...
Anyone know if part of an internet connection is down? Just
    wondering...

On the last list of boots I saw HSH listed, but no song list. So for anyone interested (for example whoever is incharge of the boots list), here goes: 1. Under A Glass Moon 2. Matter Of Time 3. Surrounded 4. Status Seeker 5. Ytse Jam 6. Guitar Solo (Moonbubbles???) (I've never heard Moonbubbles) 7. Another Day 8. The Killing Hand

This boot is put out by ROCKS records, and is supposedly of good quality (I've never heard it, just saw it in the store). Later Fellow DT fans!!!

Lesson: When at Best Buy, -always- check the storage shelf below. That's where I found the backstock of Marillion's _Brave_. :)

IF YOU CAN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO GET OFF THE LIST, YOU NEED TO DO ONE OF TWO THINGS:

    1. SEND MAIL TO YTSEJAM-OWNER@BNF.COM (not listserv, not ytsejam, not god)

    2. Buy a copy of "Internet for Dummies".
