I just asked the person who runs the AtCO FTP site about a new song
(since one was supposed to be there yesterday) and here was the reply:

    > There will be two new songs off of AWAKE available on the FTP and WWW
    > site (music.net) on August 31st.

Are we talking about the same cd europe here? Is this the online place that you go to by doing "telnet cdeurope.com"? There are no bootlegs listed on there. Do they only have have bootlegs in the mailorder catalog?

If we are not talking about the same place, please let me know what place you are talking about!

    Thanks!!

Dude, don't jump the gum here. I have no idea if this is the Japanese release or not. As a matter of fact, CDEurope says the package is coming out of Holland but that doesn't really tell us much. That doesn't mean that its the European release either. They just get it from Holland. I'm sure our friend posting from Japan would tell us if there was ANY news on the release of Awake, and she hasn't, so... Also, there's no guarentee that ordering this through CDE will get it for you any sooner than Oct. 4. CDE tends to average 6 weeks for delivery, not to mention that they may have word of this before its actually available to them. The company in Holland may just be pre-advertising a product that will be available SOON, as opposed to now. I'll keep up with CDE to find out if Awake is in fact available, and hopefully I will find out what the bonus CD is. Yeah, I took about a $30 risk here, but I figure someone had to. Plus, the info on this list has already saved me well more than that. Just sit patiently, and I'll keep ya posted, but somehow, I this feeling that this isn't the Japanese release. I thought maybe only because of the BONUS TRACK rumors going around. I thought it could be instead, a BONUS CD.

    All for now,

    KAI

Ahh... my mistake... I have a copy of the show on tape also (from the actual radio broadcast) and it has Eve on it, so I forgot it wasn't on DoL...

Also, the DoE version has lyrics to it... As youmentioned later on in a post, you don't have DoE yet... You will know why it is different when you hear it...

I have some more information about this Jordan Rudess. The source is the Dutch symphonic Info-magazine. He is considered to be the 'new Rick Wakeman or Keith Emerson' and is the hottest keyboardplayer since Eddie Jobson. In this review of the album called 'Listen' the man is very pleased with the product and he states that Jordan did deserve that award of most talented player of 1993. Rudess' inspiration are bands like Yes, ELP and Pink Floyd. He started to play at the famous 'Juliard School of Music' in N.Y. when was only 9 years old and he's won several awards. When he grew up he started liking synthesizers and playing rock music. He's played as a session musician with Vinnie Moore, played with Jan Hammer and the Paul Winter Consort and he's made several productions for theatre (or should I write theater? ;) ) and films. 'Listen' is not a keyboard-demonstration record: "All keyboard parts were actually performed with ten fingers and not computer generated". His singing on the record is not very dynamic, but suits the music. KEN MARY (House of Lord) plays the drums on the record (a great drummer in my opinion). Chris Amelar (also House of Lords) plays the guitar. Best song in his opinion is 'Take Time' (deja vu ? :) ). Conclusion: a master piece.

(I still want Kevin to come back !!!!)

Is the European release date of Awake also august 8th ? Someone?
