Regarding Barfbag
Is there any confirmation that Barfbag is the extended solo after To Live
Forever and NOT the solo Petrucci did in Europe after To Live Forever??
I know the song got its name cause it was written on an airplane Barfbag, but
the european guitar thing sounds more like it should be CALLED Barfbag than
the other one. (anyone get my drift?)
Man. Lost In The Sky even looks cool.

GRanted. I can kind of see the logic in DT opening for
Queensryche.
But 45 mins would not be enough. They obviously, being an opening
band, would NOT play a full set as in GNR/METALLICA type show.
It would be a 45 min opening act at most!
Half the crowd probably doesnt like them and will boo them
like any other opening band! usually......
The bottom line: i'll go see them ANYTIME THEY come within a 100
mile radius of connecticut.......no matter if they are opening for
queensryche or...whoever!!

Am I the only one who thinks this is a bad idea?
Dream Theater for 45 minutes equals 4-5 songs at best. No room for their
lighting... And sure, the exposure would be good, but I don't think they
care about it that much.
I'd rather seen them in a crappy hall for 2 hours than in an arena for
45 minutes.

Speaking of alt.music.dream-theater, there's now an alt.music.fates-warning
on the net. Check it out, could be cool :) (not many posts as of yet, but
it just started up I think :)

Well, I will say, as my OPINION, DT would probably outplay just about
anyone, but I also think that the added exposire that DT would gain
from opening for a MAJOR band like QR is very much needed. I would
hate to see a 45 min DT set, but if you remember the last time they
toured, they hit the entire world twice... I know they hit the US
twice, as well as Japan, and Italy twice, so I assume that was a
double world tour (Japan: Osaka bootleg, and LiT video, Italy:
Consciously Unreal and Lost In The Sky)

Nobody ever said they wouldn't do a club tour after this.
