I thought the exact same thing. Eddie's tone is HUGE on "Promised Land"!!
He is a big part of what drives QR's more rocking songs on the new CD.

John M.'s sound is better on AWAKE than on IAW but he's still a little hard to
hear. Of course John is far superior technically ...

    >me think that they've canned the whole thing. WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON
    >?!?!?!?!?!?

Actually, remember that last week's HBB was originally supposed to be on
Oct. 1st...So, last week was probably when the DT segment was SUPPOSED to
air...And Megadave is a big MTV/HBB/RR favorite (I dunno why, as Mustaine
has really insulted RR in the past), so they've gotta run that several
weeks in a row...And they'll probably reschedule it for the weekend after
Halloween, but it will be pre-empted by Beavis and Buttfuck...So, my gues
is that B&B have taken DT away from HBB this time...Maybe it will appear
    in a future installment...

    >'I am I' was cool. If you think that the songs on AWAKE are busy and
    >crowded, they can't touch 'I am I'. I also think that Eddie Jackson could
    >give some lessons to John Myung about tight, fat bass tones. Jackson is
    >really unappreciated.

I still don't know if I liked the song...Tomorrow for the new Qryche (for us
Americans w/ no record company connections, that is)...Maybe that will get
Awake out of my CD player for a couple of hours ;)

    Hello!

Has anybody of you guitar freaks out there made any tabs of Awake songs yet? I
would really like a tab of "The silent man".

On another note, I think it would be a good idea to do some kind of survey for
the best songs off Awake, something like everybody votes their 5 tops or even
list ALL the songs in order of personal taste. Unfortunately I don't have the
time to arrange this, but perhaps somebody else is interested in doing this.
    What do you think?

MTV Online is only available on America Online - they didn't want Adam Curry
to be their official voice in cyberspace because he couldn't promise to make
them a fortune off of it, so they chose a commercial service instead on the
    Net.

I THINK that Riki's ID on AOL is RikiR@aol.com, but don't hold me to that
since it's most likely someone out there prancing around as him. Then again,
    maybe it's the real thing.

Hehe...did you notice what one of the band members said to RR while
they were in the Cafe?..."Are you for real?". ;)

I managed to stomach enough of HBB to watch the "I Am I" video (cool
video!) and see the Lie video, but after that I just shut it off and
threw my Awake CD back in...

Has anyone but me noticed the annoying high high high pitch in
Space Dye Vest? It occurs beginning at the OJ-quote and continues
until that string of samples is over. Most people who I've let

Anyone that does hear it, do you think it might be intentionally

I guess it is sort of a chorus G-man but the next time it is sung a couple of
the lines have chaged. So I really don't consider it a chorus. But that's
    just me.

Hello!! Well, my 4 favorites from Awake are:

    1) Scarred
    2) The Mirror
    3) Innocence Faded
    4) Voices

I have heard Awake every day since I got it. Of course *Eve* remove from this
object!! It is difficult for me to choose 4 songs. This list don't include
Space-Dye Vest. But I like it too.

     Thank you.

I just checked out my AOL account, and the DT folder has EXPLODED...
lots of discussion... It seems that someone has narrowed down one of
the SDV samples (the one about Houston and the pools) to something
from Conan O'Brian... I have never watched him... does he sound like
that... if he does, we might have a winner here...

Oh, Mike Bahr, have you been collecting all of the sample identities
    for the FAQ?
