by the way - is anyone getting sick of me yet? :)
well that's what you get for:
a) not replying to my NYC get-together thing.
b) not replying to my DoE video request.
c) some other random stuff........
Anyway, to get to the DT-related content, I was
wondering if anyone had an extra ticket to the Manhattan
Center show...I am willing to pay some good cash for it..
Please let me know ASAP.....
Thanks,

C-Man---
What is your e-mail address? You didn't post it. But I definitely
will start calling today to eMTyV. Let me know as soon as possible.
Like I said before....I would DIE for backstage passes to the Denver,
Colorado Springs, or Salt Lake City shows (22, 23, 25, respectively)
I'm going to all 3!!!!!

Hey all,
This is kind of a weird story, and I haven't yet figured it all out.
But about a month ago, I gave Pete Rosenbloom at East/West a call and left
several messages. Finally, I got a hold of him personally, and he was cool,
yet very busy and short with me. I was basically asking for a promo Awake for
my radio show, and possibly backstage passes. Well, he said I'd get nothing
without a letter on WPTS letterhead, and I figured by time I got around to that
and he recieved it, the album would be out, so I blew it off.
Yesterday, my mom tells me that I had an interesting looking package
addressed to KAI, from East/West records (all my mail goes to my mom's place
incidentally, because I don't trust my mailbox here in the city and can't
afford a PO BOX). It turns out its a promo kit with lots of those Awake picks
and a band photo (not sure if its 8 X 10) and a letter from Pete Rosembloom.
Cman's name wasn't mentioned anywhere that she could find, but I'm 95% that he
had something to do with this, since I don't remember ever telling Pete my
nickname (KAI), and I definitely did not give him my home address.
I'm picking it up tonight, then I'll let ya all in on the goodies, and
picks will most likely be distributed to those most worthy. Until then, pester
the hell out of eMpTyV, and HAIL CMAN!!
KAI
ps. Last night I gave away 2 pairs of DT tickets for Pittsburgh, along with 2
pairs of FW tickets. I have 4 more pairs of FW tickets to give away (for
anyone in the Pittsburgh area - 92.1 Sunday 9-11p) but the asshole promoter
would only give me 2 pairs for DT. I had to turn many callers away. This shit
is really starting to be fun, though.

You didn't include you e-mail address in your message, so I had to
post here. I tried calling DIALMTV all day, but got nothing but busy
signals. Is there certain times that we're supposed to call? Also,
I replied to the Dream Theater Top 10, but it got returned because I

Subject: DT Signing Party In Buffalo!!!
Message-ID: <01HINWPQBLPK9BWXUK@SNYBUFVA.CS.SNYBUF.EDU>
I just met the guys at a signing party in Buffalo. I asked a couple of
questions that I thought I'd relay to you...
Keep in mind that this is mostly paraphrased:
me=Myself
JL=James Labrie
MP=Mike Portnoy
me: Will you be releasing 'To Live Forever' sometime?
JL: Yes. Actually it was released as a B-side single
that was included with the Japanese version of
'Awake'.
me: I thought that was 'Eve'.
JL: I think it was both...Mike, on the Japanese single
were both 'Eve' and 'To Live Forever' on it or just
'To Live Forever'?
MP: No, no, just 'Eve'. 'To Live Forever' should be
released soon as a single in the UK.
JL: What do I know? I'm just in the band [laughs]
After a obligatory 'YTSEJAM' plug...
me: Are you going to be touring the South-Eastern states?
MP: Well, right now we are just touring the places that
are scheduled, BUT, more places will be added.
me: Depending on how things go?
MP: Well, it's not even that. It's just that those dates
are already booked. We are arranging others right now.
me: So there's a good chance that you'll stop in the southeast?
MP: Oh definately. Well be touring the US through december, then
Japan in january, and probably Europe in february and march.
Then we hope to start a more extensive tour of the US.
MP also said that they should be coming back to Buffalo in the spring
(TWO DT shows in SIX MONTHS :))))))
also:
John P said that his wife(girlfriend?) keeps accusing him of ripping off "some
old classical song" with 'Silent Man'
and Myung said that the new guy, Derrik Sche..(I cant remember- the Alice
Cooper guy) was "Very Good" and that he fit in nicely. He didnt mention if
Derrik would be staying or not.
Well that's about it...:) I've got to go. The show starts in 2 hours!!!:)))

Hello all you DT freaks out there...I have a few questions for those
going to the St. Louis show:
Where is the show?
What is the age limit (my brother turns 18 on the 8th, and wants
desperately to go)?
How much are tix? Are they available from any TicketBastard?
I'm currently in the DC area, but I'm going out of town this week, so I'm
going to miss the Baltimore show, but since St. Louis is only a few hours
from where my parents live (Louisville, KY), I thought that this may be
the best chance I get this tour to see DT and FW together.
Any info you might have for me would be greatly appreciated (please
e-mail me directly at esterle@astro.umd.edu)
Thanks,
Philip Esterle

"6:00 on a Christmas morning and for what" is what's said. The post on Joyce's The Dead explains (it's from last Friday, Saturday, or Sunday).

Me too! I just found out that I can get the 23rd off work as well as the 22nd so I and a friend will be going to both the Denver and the Colorado Springs shows!
I wonder if Fate's Warning will be at both shows or just the Denver...
No matter. Hell, my mother could sing Ave Maria as an opener and I'd still be there.
Which brings up a point. Anyone interested in getting together before/after here in the Springs (where I live) or in Denver, respond to me at my home address and let me know! I must say that my friend and I are agreed that we will be hanging out "apres show" as long as it takes to meet the guys.
I'll also be wearing my Ytsejam tee shirt, thanks to a pretty awesome babe (thanks, Kryt!).
See you at the show!

OK, please don't laugh at me for asking this, but I heard a rumor that was quite interesting... has anybody heard of James LaBrie pairing up with Sebastian Bach of Skid Row to do something musical? I would love for that NOT to be a rumor although that seems to be the oddest of couples musically! well, if anybody knows...please post!
I am going to the Hammerjacks show on the 27th, I can't wait! Last time I was there with some friends, someone made a bootleg (video) that was marketed(we're on it).
If anybody finds anything out about Fates Warning and Dream Theater at Hammerjacks (Baltimore) please post it. I wouldn't miss that for ANYTHING!

Look at it this way: The outro of Lie is actually the ending of Mirror. It doesn't really makes sense to include it in a Lie-only version. That's the only argument that justifies it for me. But you're right, it sucks. But, who cares anyway. Until they put ACOS on a single, singles are not for DT fans, they are for the mainstream (uh-oh am I gonna get flamed for this!) :)

The liner notes says Dialogue in Voices by Prix-mo (courtesy of "Cultural Revolution") Is it the above sample that is referring to or something else?. And who is Prix-mo? To me the voice sounds like Phil Anselmo of Pantera!!! (but I'm not at all an expert in that field :)
