    Dear jammers,

I finally got the stuff I ordered from the fan club today! However, I
ordered black DT baseball caps, but they were out of them So, they sent me
the off-white DT caps with the black rim. This is good, but I already have
two of them, and I now I have four. Oh well, they'd make great birthday
presents for my friends. Did anyone get the black baseball caps?

    Yours,
    Jeff =)

no! there's no similarities with magellan, its more like ELP with
guitars and real songwriting. magellan has trouble making music flow
so they throw together various ideas, none of which have anything to
do with the lyrics. mastermind's music flows extremely well and fits
the lyrics perfectly. highly recommended band

i think it would've been better without them.

Does anyone know the meaning of the oriental symbols on Kevin Moore's
    keyboard stand?

    Re: Surrounded...

I tend to think of the verse as alternating between 4/4 and 5/4.

Another cool example of this is "Shoogagoogagunga" (and the
subsequent "Return of The Son Of Shoogagoogagunga") on Dweezil Zappa's
"CONFESSIONS" CD. Really fun stuff - love the guitar playing on that disc

Also recommended: Z's "Shampoo Horn." Very Silly, but, there's
some great musicians on it. Most of 'em played with FZ <crossing self>,
so you know they've gotta be good! =)

I use D'Addario bass strings & I think they're standard gauge. This is what
    it says on the package:
    D'Addario XL Electric Bass Strings
    .045 * .065 * .080 * .100
    Nickel Round Wound
    Soft Gauge - Long Scale

I'm pretty sure those are the gauge measurements for standard gauge bass
strings. If anyone has any corections, I'm happy to hear 'em.

Anyone know of anyone else that plays keyboard solos like Kevin Moore
plays 'em. I mean all guitar-like. I figure there must be someone. I
don't personally when I play keyboard cuz its not my style, I like both
hands going on at all times. I know Jens Johannson from Yngvie played A
LOT like Moore. He might have been a big influence. (ex. solos on Evil
Eye and what's the name of track 2 from Yngwie's 1st album).

Hello all! I JUST bought Tori Amos's CD _Little Earthquakes_ on
recommendations from people on list list a while back. After listening to
it about 4 times I must say that I LOVE this cd!!!! I thought i wouldn't
like to (too commertial!) But it isn't and I really love it! My favorite
songs so far are Silent All These Years, Precious Things (whats this
about anyway) and of course Winter! WINTER IS THE BEST!!! She's so
emotional when singing it's amazing. She's also not a bad pianist either!
I think her and Peter Gabriel should team up, they'd make an excellent
group! THANKS to everyone who recommened this CD and I'm sorry for
doubting everyone's recommendation on this cd, it is excellent! Everyone
who doesn't have this CD should go buy it NOW!!!!

Now please tell me, her other cds are just as good as this one! please
tell me so! should I buy her other CDs?

Sorry for lack of DT comment. Oh yeah, Dream Theater rules. there. I said it.
