There are a few albums that I like every song:

Dream Theater Images & Words (obious!)
Van Halen F.U.C.K. (a great, overall album)
Enya Any album (BTW, anyone know if she has a new album?)
Yanni In My Time (Gets away from his big sound on this one)
Pink Floyd Wish You Were Here (A classic)

    "Moonwind" by Wavestar

    >2. Why do you like it?

    Although perhaps not technically prog
    (and definitely not metal) this
    album sports long (10 - 20 minute),
    thematic compositions. The music
itself is a mix of early Tangerine
Dream and Pink Floyd (circa Wish You
    Were Here). Extremely spacy, relaxing,
and kicks ass for planetarium shows ;)
Definitely their best effort of 3 albums.

At least this was for the original disc.
It has been reissued, but I haven't heard
    that version of it.

Sorry for the old content, but I've been really busy and deleted some

Would the person who posted about the WDAJU and concert only songs
CD's please place me on the list? I thought I had sent a request in, but I

Screaming Trees' "Sweet Oblivion" probably tops that list for me. I&W is
right up there, as is (a little off subject) the first Barenaked Ladies

The Marillion bit is brighter and faster. The pattern is close, though.

    Hi everyone!
I am opening up a dub site for the Kevin Moore Demo tape in
southern California. I am going to start making a couple of
copies this weekend and I planned on doing at least ten,
more depending on the need and my time. People in this area
(or beyond) can email me at:

    garcia@sdsc.edu

to discuss. I would like to trade for DT demos and of course
for blank tapes with postage-paid return mailers.
This is a beautiful work of music. Thanks to Jennifer and
    Kevin Moore!

    > 2. Why do you like it?

Liked every song? Well, I'd say quite a few CDs I've LIKED every song.
Such as Images and Words, I don't dislike any songs on that CD.

But LOVED every song? Well... that is hard. Even some of my favorite
albums wouldn't get put on a list of CDs which I loved every song. For
example, Yes's Close to the Edge, I love Close to the Edge, and And You
and I, but only like Siberian Ktharu.

    But let me see...

I'd have to say only three CDs would fit the category.
The three Genesis CDs I have. And not because I'm a Genesis freak or
anything, but because I just love the way these guys write music.

    1) _The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway_ A DOUBLE CD album and I can't think
of a song I don't love. And some of the songs on this CD are some of my
favorites of all time. (I just got this album for Christmas.) This may be
my favorite album just because there are NO bad songs (and there are 23
    songs on this album.)

    2) _Foxtrot_ I love this whole entire CD, every song is outstanding,
especially the 23 minute Supper's Ready and Time Table.

    3) _Selling England by the Pound_ This CD again, all outstanding. This CD
contains four epic songs, truely a masterpiece. Plus, as I've stated
before, some of the songs stars me! (Willy Wright and his boys!)

About Operation: mindcrime, yes, this is an awesome album, but not put
on my list because while all the songs are good, only one is awesome,
"Suite Sister Mary" perhaps one of the most progressive metal songs ever.
    Pure genius!

    4. Rush, Hemispheres

    5. DT, IaW, Awake

    6. Marillion, Misplaced Childhood, Clutching at Straws

Um, I take it there is a tape of this floating around out there? If there is, it is a MUST HAVE for all DT fans. I actually stood outside the station while they did the show (couldn't get in). The probably played live for about 45 minutes on the air. You haven't lived until you've heard Mike Portnoy try and play a small kit.

I have asked if this show was taped on this list repeatedly. I'm done asking!!!!! I NEED A TAPE OF THAT SHOW!!!!!!!

i love Queen and was raised on them along w/ Journey, Foreigner, Toto, Kansas, Fleetwood Mack, Stephen Wolf (sp?) among others. ALL Queen's stuff is very good. Freddy Mercury (RIP) had an incredible voice and his melody lines and harmonies go unmatched.

To everyone who's participating as a dub site for Kev's demos:

PLEASE don't announce yourself as an "official" dub site (ie. someone with a 1st generation copy of the demos from me) unless:

    a) you *really ARE* a dub site! I've already seen a post here from someone saying they were a dub site and I haven't even mailed them a copy of the tape yet because they never e-mailed me the answers to the questions in the dubbing FAQ! I don't want any YJammers who _think_ they're getting a dub directly from a 1st gen. tape getting one of questionable quality instead because they didn't know any different. That's why I asked for volunteers as dub sites and that's why I'm making all of the dub site copies myself, so that the best copies possible will be made available to everyone through these few kind people who have volunteered their time and effort to this cause. I'm not accusing anyone of trying to dupe or trick other people and although I'm working as fast as I can to get these copies out to the dub sites, I haven't been able to get them to some people as quickly as I'd like either, but if I see anyone else doing this kind of thing on YJ, I'll make a public posting notifying everyone that that person does *not* in fact have a 1st gen. copy, just for the YJ population's own general knowledge and protection. If you don't have a 1st gen. copy, please don't call yourself a dub site. I don't mind if you make copies for other people no matter how many generations down your tape is because I want the demos to be accessible to everyone, but please don't call yourself a dub site if you aren't one.

    and

    b) you actually have the tape _in hand_! A couple of dubbers have done this already and I do understand that you are all anxious to begin, but even if the tape is already in the mail to you, I think it's a good policy not to say anything until you have actually *received* the tape. You never know when a package is going to get mangled or lost on the way to your mailbox, so better to be safe than sorry. And I certainly wouldn't want fellow YJammers to be upset with you for promising copies by a certain time and then not being able to come through because of circumstances beyond your control.

Anyway, hope this didn't sound like bitching, but I feel that everyone on YJ deserves these courtesies and respect, as well as those who've been nice enough to participate in this project. Thanks for your cooperation, everyone. :)

Well, it looks like I'm going to be doing a little selling here today. The cost of moving is snowing me under, and I'm gonna have to be content with CD-burned copies and no originals until it's all done and I can afford to go out and buy them again. So these are at ridiculously low (for what you get) prices... I just need the money, or I may find myself with nowhere to live!

I will pay shipping to anyone in the USA.

    Here's what I got:

Dream Theater: The Dance of Eternity autographed by Portnoy and Myung 2 CD set from audience DAT, very clear and very excellent. Contains the legendary A Change of Season. Other than the autographs, mint condition. >>> $50 (you realize this will be very valuable in the future..)

Dream Out Loud, mint condition 1 CD from FM master, Impaxx Club, Buffalo, 5/18/93. Contains the usuals plus Status Seeker and To Live Forever. >>> $20

Lost In The Sky, mint condition 2 CDs from two sources: soundboard DAT and FM dat mixed. Milan, 11/15/93. Contains the usuals plus Mission Impossible/Afterlife, Only A Matter of Time/March of the Tyrant, Mirror into TTT, To Live Forever, and so forth. FANTASTIC gatefold packaging that is still unscarred in any way. I also have an autographed copy, but I am keeping that one! >>> $40

Pink Floyd: Out Of This World, mint condition, totally totally new 2 CDs from the soundboard in San Diego, 1994. Contains whole Bell show, totally excellent sound. Excellent packaging. >>> $40

That's all for now, email me if you want one of these bootleg CDs!
