Who said I was sarcastic?
Too many rumors on this list for me. Think I'll try out the Rush list or that Tori list. Speaking of Tori, did anyone catch her on IRC? I caught a good impersonator and a lot of angry fans, but no authentic Tories. Or Whigs.

Hi all.
Someone asked if aynone knew if Dream Theater was coming near Alabama. I would say there is a good chance. At the Birch Hill show I asked JohnP. if they were coming to Florida and he said they would on their next tour. So I would guess that they would also stop in Alabama. later

Four-letter word, sounds like the second syllable of "Kerrang."
And mojo, you can't be steel-faced AND hooded at the same time. But you're still Cobra Commander, and I guess I'll leave the slots of Destro, Dr. Mindbender, and Serpentor open for other nostalgics. As for me, I will choose...oh how does that terrible song go..."I will chew-ewws Zar-tan."

Am I the only human that likes Subconcious more then AD? I traded my AD away for Subcon, and Im forever glad I did. I didnt like the song selections on AD one bit, and thought it was, well, boring. It was an ok CD, but it just didnt do it for me. Anyone else feel the same?
Of course, IMHO.

Hello boys and girls! I'm writing because I'm a little bit confused. See, the thing is that I finally found the lyrics to Awaken the Guardian, but I don't think that helped much in understanding what the songs are about. Could anybody please help me? I'm not usually a big fan of lyric analysis, but this album is so great that I just need to know. I just got the new Helloween album "The Time of the Oath" and I think it's excellent. Almost all the songs have beautiful harmony solos, a Helloween trademark (By the way, I'm not saying they were the originators of these types of solos. I'm just saying that if you hear these solos you would say "hey, this is Helloween"). The music is great, and the lyrics are very good as well (Deris is not Michael Kiske, but he's still good). Any Helloween fan who hasn't gotten this should definitely give it a listen. Required Superior content: "Behind" is a great album. Everybody should get it. That's it. Bye!

Since when is IRC hard?
As to DWD/Les Mis.....cool, but I'd rather have a whole new play written for DWD. Les Mis was freaking awesome! I had center balcony seats! But, with my luck, a seat two rows back start smoking (like, on fire....not tobacco) right after Eponine's solo started! I was pisssssssed! We had to go down to these crappy off-center seats after that. Urgh. Eponine makes me feel kinda funny, like when we used to climb the ropes in gym class. She also had the best voice out of all the actors.
> Anybody who doesn't cry when JVJ dies in Cosette's >arms is not human.
I don't think that made me teary. Eponine dying in Marius's arms did, though. I tingle when she sings "I love him! I love him!" in her solo.
This doesn't have anything to do with anything, but flute trills give me chills.
>Okay, now I'm getting this mental image of that beast from "Legend." I >think he was named "Evil" or something.
That movie rocked!!!! Damn. Now I can't remember any cool quotes from it. That sucks.
Whew! No more jams!
Through Damon's inflexible knees, I'm learning to...no, that's not it.
Through Bafu's inflexible Eggo, I'm learning to...no, that's not it either. Through..no, that's not it.
Uhh.....
Oh nevermind.
More waffles, dammit.

*** Reply to note of 04/10/96 13:59 Damon..The Journey song is called "Mother, Father". Very good tune, but not as good as the title cut "Escape." My $0.02 is that Rollie was okay, but Perry was definitely the better singer (IMHO). I, too, liked Ansley better than Somith on drums. He was even better on the Whitesnake eponymous CD. LATER-

*** GENESIS - NEWS FLASH ***
I just read somewhere that Peter Gabriel, Tony Banks and Mike Rutherford recently checked out some old tapes and are planning to release some kind of 'Anthology'-CD (like that one from The Beatles). This CD will contain rejected and alternative versions of old Genesis songs. Phil Collins won't be involved in this project...
Does anyone have more information on this ? I hope they will also do some new stuff !
BTW, I didn't make this up. I just read it in a Dutch tvguide called 'Televizier' (nr 15, page 27). Don't flame me if it turns out to be gossip. It sounded pretty much like a done deal to me, though...

I just feel that my mind becomes impatient with simpler music. I still appreciated most forms of music but somehting inside is waiting for a tempo change, beat change, riff change and gets really disappointed when there are one *bog*.

I just want to explain something about that 'Most Frequent Poster' top 10 I posted. On digest 1422, Scott Cook expressed HIS feelings about it. In case some of you felt the same, read this (don't want people to have a wrong impression of me). Otherwise just skip it...
Firstly, On digest 1425, RipZero wrote: > i dont really think Itchy was complaining, i've gotten to know him > quite well on irc and he's one of the coolest jammers i've met. Cant > we all just get along! (cliche) I'm not saying anything against Brian > either, just defending itch. Thanks for defending me Rip! I really didn't mean to complain about the jam OR Brian. See you on the IRC ! BTW, where are all those Euro-jammers? I've only met a couple of them on the IRC (Aurora, Hegge, Yngwie..)
On digest 1422, Scott Cook wrote: > Do you think that's really fair singling out DreamNDay like that? He did that all by himself ! ;-)
> When DreamNDay posts they may be many, but they're usually pretty short Yeah, but every post starts with information about the post (about 5 lines) and a .sig, posting just one article *will* save a lot of bytes.. Just a thought.
> DreamNDay is out of the country at the moment, so I don't think it's > fair to be picking on someone when they're not around to defend > themselves. Sorry, didn't know that... Anyway, who needs to defend himself with a friend like you, Scott ! (I'm not kidding here)
> If you don't like the way the jam is, then why don't you unsubscribe. And miss out on all those really GREAT posts in between flame- and .sig- wars? I don't think so! IMO there are some pretty cool Jammers on this list, with a great sence of humor. I would miss them terribly... I've also met some pretty cool Jammers on the #Ytsejam. Since I'm Dutch I won't be able to chat with them as much as I'd like to ('cause of the huge time difference), but at least here I can read their messages...
BTW, I never said I didn't like the jam. I just think it's too much. I thought we all agreed on that issue, but don't hesitate to prove me wrong if I am. Getting rid of the Spam, mr. 'RESPONSE at IBMMAIL' and all those 'please add me to your list'-messages would *really* help.
..And SCOTT ! I *really* wasn't 'bitching' about Brian. He just happened to be the nr. 1 poster. Knowing him a little bit from his posts, he'd be proud of that (read his freakin' .sig, ok?) I just re-read my message, and I have to admit it *might* be interpreted as 'bitchy'. But I REALLY didn't mean to pick on him. I've met Brian on IRC, and he's pretty cool. I don't think he would have minded my post. He would probably have been able tell that I was being sarcastic.
/ME Shakes Scott's hand & wants te be friends again, ok?
I'm actually a pretty nice guy... except when my alter ego takes over an I start flaming people... with a FLAMETHROWER... <that's sarcasm>
Oh yeah, some DTC: I love Tori Amos' version of _Winter_ ;-)
Boy, did that Tori-thing on irc.mtv.com suck! I tuned in from 1:00am 'til 3:00am (CET). She only got to answer 1 stupid question about 'Muhammed My Friend'. But what would you expect from eMpTyV ?
Really sorry to SPAM the JAM, again... :( This message was WAY TOO LONG... I should have split it up into 5 little posts... (again, I'm being sarcastic).
