Just because I want to see how many times I post, I have a trivia question.
A popular musician told this joke: "A guy walks in to a doctors office with
a frog no his head. The doctor says to the guy, 'What seems to be the
poblem?' The guy said, 'You tell me.' The doctor looked at the frog and
said, 'What is your problem?' The frog replied, 'I've got a bump on my ass.'"
Who said this joke(I may not have quoted it properly) and on what video??

With the existence of CD's such as Mike Bahr's creations, many of you are
proficient in obtaining rare material. Might anyone know where I can
find anything other than a 7" of Vader: the Ultimate Incantation? Any
info on this would be appreciated.

There's something to remember here people. Music is an art form, hence it
is completely subjective as to what's good and what's not. Something one
person may like may be fingernails on a chalk board to another, so don't
be ashamed or feel like you are "coming out of the closet" just because
you like a band that may not be along the lines of this list !
NOTE: The above statement is also aimed at the Queensryche fan who feels
some need to bash people who like DT. Get a clue, get a life, and just
enjoy the damn music.

John Petrucci will indeed be doing a clinic at the Lentines Music store in
Akron Ohio on April 24. It is a Wednesday night at 8:00p.m. Lentines can be
reached by phone at the following numbers:
For the Cleveland store: 1-800-294-7625
For the Akron store: 1-800-536-8463
Call them if you need any info. about where it is etc. I don't know the area
real well so you wouldn't want directions from me. :-)
On with the jam...(BafuVai. Required content)
P.S. If you go to Detroit, don't ask YtsejamDT@aol.com for directions. You
could wind up in one of the great lakes. (just kidding, Irene)

Yeah I saw 2112 in Charlotte a while back and I was really impressed. Their singer looked and sounded like Geddy. I got to talk to their guitarist and he was pretty cool, but there were a bunch of assholes there who kept calling him Bon
Jovi. Why are there such petty people in this world?

Hello,
I have a few questions.. Sorry, I'm an ACOSer, alright? (I found
a copy of ACOS in my brothers room.. decided to listen to it, and I was
amazed... soon after that, I got my own copy, Awake, Images and Words, When
Dream and Day Unite, Live at the Marquee (German), and the Lie import).. They
are the most talented band I have heard in my life.. but anyways.. I recently
ordered two imports - "Majestic Harmonies" and "Unconciously Real".. I
haven't heard of these.. and I would like to know what those who do have them
think of them.. Also, can someone send me the lyrics to TLF? (I don't have
access to WWW or FTP)..
The Ytse-Lamer,
Dan

First off, I'm soooo glad to hear that so many of you enjoy ERic's music about as much as I do. he's been my largest inspiration for about five or six years now, and this new album will be SPECTACULAR!! Now, as for the boots, those are hard to come by! I just tried ordering two from CD Europe, but it so happens that those are out of print, so I'm SOL. BUT, I knew this guy last year that had two live shows on tape as well as Studio demos, which I got a hold of, and they are HOT!! Both shows are live radio broadcasts, and the demos are straight from Eric's studio (or at least that's what legend says). I would be more than happy to trade copies of these, but at the moment, school is REALLY rocking my world, especially my James Joyce course, so I don't have much time to do any copying. I do however get out in three weeks or so, and maybe then I can work something out. But if anyone else has any boot info, let me know!!

The address is 844 N. Main Street. Tickets are $7.50 in advance, and $10.00 at the door. I would recommend calling the phone number listed in the flyer: (330) 434-3138. Hope this helps, and hopefully I will see some of you Midwestsejammers there!

Well, it looks like my mail has been lost. Here's what I can remember writing about. First, do any of you Guitar World or Guitar magazine subscribers have in your issues from years past a bass transcription to "Continuum" by Jaco Pastorius? I've tried to transcribe it on my own, but I'm too lazy to finish the work. If you could contact me and arrange to send me some copies, I'd appreciate it. Thanks. Next, what does Geddy Lee say in the Exit...Stage left recording before Jacob's Ladder? (This song was done a long time ago...(lapses into nonsense)) What is the song about and where might I find a copy of the lyrics online or other? I loved the Spam haiku. i think thats all. i knew there was some DTC, but I can't remember it now. Sorry about that. Later.

Ytsejammers and Fates Warning fans:
What do we all know about Awaken the Guardian?? Some people have asked in the past about the content of ATG, and I think we should discuss it (better than arguing about something, isn't it?) The first thing I noticed about the cd is this: the tracks on the disc and on the back of the cd case are in a different order than the way the lyrics appear inside the sleve (try programming your CD player to play the songs in the order of the inside of the sleve: 3,8,2,6,5,1,4,7). Second, there are plenty of recurring themes, ideas, and characters in the lyrics. Witches, wizardry, some talisman, prophecy, guardians, angels, etc.....So far, so good. Next, there are characters in the lyrics: Fata Morgana/Morrigan/Morgan LaFay, Damion, the moerea (means "the fates" in greek), Clotho (one who spins the thread of destiny, from greek mythology), Malifica, Diana, sister of morgana (Malifica?).
Ok, who knows what's going on here?? I really hope this hasn't been discussed on the Jam yet. _____________________________________________

Alright. It's time...
Yes! There is going to be a Mid-YtseCon this year. Probably sometime this summer, in the Milwaukee-Chicago general area. There's a million details to work out, and if all goes well, Myself, Steve Johnson, and Jeff "Sinista" Olson will be working most of them out this coming weekend. You'll probably see a big post about it from Steve come next Monday. As of now, I'm breaking ground on getting some T-shirts made. It's still in it's early stages, but it's up & coming. WHAT I NEED FROM YOU GUYS is this: if you're planning on attending Mid-YtseCon, or even just thinking about it, I would like you to drop me an e-mail, bigman@dreamt.org, telling me how many T-shirts you're planning on ordering. I don't know about costs yet, I'm gonna be shopping around very soon, but they should be about the same or less than the cost of Trey's and Jason's T-shirts. So even if you're just thinking about it, lemme know, tell me how many friends you may be bringing, you can even tell me what depends on if you're coming or not. :^) I look forward to hearing from all of you, especially you fellow cheezheads! heh, heh, heh... :^) Thanks for your time...
