I think he was with Alice Cooper. I'm pretty sure Al P. also played with
    Alice about the same time.

Couple things.. I just picked up Chasing Time.. Very cool.. I still like
No Exit the best, but this is really good stuff.

Other things: I heard that Frank Aresti had left Fates.. anyone have a
confirmation on this ?? and is there a new CD in the works ??

I hate to be a copy cat but WTF:

    1) ACOS
    2) Crimson Glory - Transcendance
    3) Fates - No Exit
    4) Awake
    5) Eric Johnson - AVM
    6) Machine Head - Burn my eyes - not prog.. just really heavy :)
    7) Kings X
    8) Testament - Low
    9) Atomic Opera
    10) SuperUnloader - Local San Diego band

The reason some people post more than once per JAM is that not everyone
gets it in digest format. I for one.. get the messages as soon as they
are sent. So relax, there are more important things to get annoyed at !!

Hey there guys! It's been a while since I last posted but I've finally got
    something to say.

First Corey E. Cleary's taken some slagging over what he said. I am saying
nothing on the matter, other than I found it quite humorous to read all the
    posts on the matter.

What I'm really posting about is a DT radio show I'm doing. It's part of a
live bands series on our campus radio. I'm using material from LatM, the
Lie single, ACOS cover songs, and stuff from a few boots. What I want to
ask is does anyone have anything regarding the band that I could use in the
show, other than stuff that can be found off the FAQ and the web pages?
Please e-mail anything you think would be suitable to me.

One more thing... Does anyone have any spare return flights to the US they
wouldn't mind giving to me and Graham so we can go to Ytsecon 3? Probably
    not but it's worth a try! ;-) We'll have to have a UK Ytsecon. - That'd be
good, there'd be about 4 of us! hehe

    Cheers... Edd.

Indeed, this is a very cool idea. Until you you realize that a bunch
of pale, dorky, Ytsejammers on a beach isn't a pretty sight. =)

Because of recommendations like these on this list, I picked up a cd titled
"Now" by a band called Braindance. _This_ Braindance has a female vocalist,
and I haven't been terribly impressed. So, unless someone can correct me on
this, there is more than one "Braindance" out there--you have been warned.
At least it only cost me 99 cents to find out.

Guess what? I won't be asking for a dreamt.org account.

I'm an individual. I have a unique email address and I am proud of it,
especially since it doesn't feature the words "compuserve", "aol", or "demon".
Unfortunately, though, it doesn't contain the word "penthousemag" either . . .

If I just wanted to look cool, I'd fake my mail from satriani.com :-)

ok, who the hell is this cleary kid, anyway???
and is not having DT or not knowing DT when you see it more sacreligious?
(DreamnDay leaves and this kid shows up.....any takers?)
And pardon me if you are not a kid, there's just something about your
posts that makes ne want to stereotype.....

about my subject: two of the better (funnier) reactions i've got when
trying to convert people to prog, both with echolyn (As the World)
    #2) They're like a Jethro Tull/ELP wanna-be with Dennis "I'm not sure I
should be singing rock'n'roll" De Young vocals
(Not sure why I found this funny, in retrospect, it doesn't sound so good)

#1) It's not that bad, but, you know, they have the beats all wrong....
(I guess he coouldn't handle the time changes/odd time sigs)

and about DT: Played I&W for a guy, he loved it and bought the album
He also listens to Christian music and some country...so i figured, Rush
would be safe, a lighter DT, y'know.....he TOTALLY hated it...go figure
(Then again, Bafu is the same unenlightened way, so I guess my friend is
    in good company)

I'm going to be participating in a bike ride that benefits AIDs victims.
This is a ride that covers 250 miles from Philadelphia to Washington D.C.
I'll be putting a lot of time and effort into training for those three

Hey there, Jammers. I've heard mention of SubCon a few times recently,
and I was just wondering, how much is an original SubCon worth these
days? I am the proud owner of disc #498 (Procrastination is the curse of
mankind! :) and I just wanted to know how much these are selling for...
Well, this post is WAY too short... I think I'll list the contents of my
    Discman:

    1) Dream Theater Awake

Speaking of which, have you ever noticed that You may not feel like
hearing a certain CD at a certain time, but if you put it on anyways,
you get into it and feel like hearing more of that group or artist's
CD's? Maybe I just have really good (or predictable) taste in music... I
don't know, maybe I'm just weird...

    Later,
