That's OK . . . everyone knows that to be a great man you have to be
    Canadian or British :-)

Why was James so worried? He was perfectly safe on the stage! And as for the
    crowd . . . well . . . everyone knows that a concert ain't a concert unless
you emerge suffering from dehydration, 3 broken ribs, and a gruesome
    hairstyle.

Don't DT have better things to do, like, um, Record an Album, and Tour the
    World?

If I was cool, and in a cool band, I'd be spending all my time playing
sell-out gigs and misbehaving with the groupies. I would NOT be sitting here
    staring at a computer screen . . . :-)

Hey there, this is the first time I've ever posted, although I've
been reading for 6 months now. My girlfriend picked up a bootleg for
me in Florence, Italy. Titled "Consciously Unreal" it's a 2 cd set
with songs from USA concerts, but it doesn't say where. If anyone has
this and more info than the sleeve gives, could you email me at
    jdt115@psu.edu. Thanks.
One other question, someone said that in the Mind Control set, the
band sings happy birthday to John Myung. No such act on my copy, did
    I get hosed or something?

production. I really wanted to head JP's guitar work.. but it's really
buried. I haven't heard the re-release, so maybe someone could fill me in
there.. One thing though.. of the live tracks from WDADU that I've
    heard.. I think I like Charlie's phrasing a little better.. maybe it's
because it's what I'm used to..

I agree that the production was rather poor on WDADU. I do have to admit
though that I first heard I&W and Awake, so in comparison with those, WDADU
is really bad. On I&W and Awake especially, the tracks are so clear and
distinct. The sound seems right in your face, not repressed. Maybe one day
when they are basking in their glory and have some spare time on their hands,
DT can remaster this great album.

that post was LONG! And then to top it all off, it ended the jam!

To whoever is gathering all the stats about the jam (frequent posters, etc.),
can you find out the longest post of the jam, and who on average posts the
longest? I think it would be kind of interesting. Make sure you leave out

I know DT can deliver the goods in a club. Even the first El 'n Gees show at Xmas last year (which was *not* fun :)) still ranks as one of the best club shows I've seen. It remains to be seen if they can make the jump to larger arenas and still maintain the connection with the crowd.

Ah, someone who can attest to my opinion of the New London show.

I went back to my car at about 8:30 to leave my coat there, figuring it wouldn't be much longer. If I could have felt anything when they finally let us in, I would have felt rather foolish. :)

Damn.. I forget his name, but I met him at the get-together before the show. he had Mike's ticket for the show. Apparently, Mr. Bahr had the good sense not to bother going to that particular show. :)

Well, guess what. May 7th is the release date for Pantera's new album. I'm stoked about this for a number of reasons. First, they have been one of my favorite bands for a long time. Second, the title is The Great Southern Trendkillers. This is the greatest name for my attitude right now. I figure if we take all the Bush shirts and change the B's to R's and make them say Rush then at least all these "I love alternative, I hate my life," hipsters would at least look cool. In Dimebag's article/interview in the latest Guitar World ends with Dime saying something like "Don't be a follower, Trendlill broes." Words of wisdom from a highly respected man.

When it comes down to ripping it up, Pantera is the best of them all. Except, of course, DT.

DTC: Whyt didn't To Live Forever make it on I&W? It obviously rules.

Speaking of trendkilling, check out Sixteen Horsepower if you want a breath of fresh air. The first time I heard it it almost made my head split open and bleed. Just be prepared for a major shock.

Later, Cory Swanson (not Clearey, just wanted to make that even clearer than it already was. Why must I always clarify my name?)

If I remember Ohms law correctly,

    IR=V

that is, current (amps) times resistance (ohms) equals volts

watts (measure of energy per unit time (power))= IV

    substituting, we get:

    watts=V^2/R

I hope I did that right. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. The other permutations are workable from the above info.
