is it possible that in the contract with elektra DT must do a CD every 2 years
    and a half

why is it so difficult to find a producer i think a lot of them
are there waiting for a call

maybe it's an excuse why they don't choose Davis Prater
because the best CD are "images and words" and "ACos"

the best CD from "RUSH" is with Terry Brown

IF anybody knows the songs and length for the next album please e-mail me

The Cd with the skull on the cover is "Sirens" this Cd was released in 1984
then re-released in 1994 on CD. This is a good heavy album, the heaviest
stuff Savatage does. I is good but some what dated, but still gets a good
deal of rotation in my Cd player. It is just straight ahead crazy heavy
    metal.

The Dungeons Are calling is of the same vien as "Sirens".

I would recommend for your next purchase "Hall of the Mountain King", then
Sirens & Dungeons, then Gutter Ballet. Fight For the Rock and Power of the
Night are the least liked Savatage albums, but still ok (better than any
    grunge band).

the best Buy on Alma School and Southern should have just about all the
Savatage releases. Or you can check out Rock A Way Record at Alma School
and Southern also. Rock A way might even have the Savatage Live Album Final
Bell / Ghost In the Ruins.

    Hello again!

And again, beware. Unusual high concentration of DTC in this mail.

    Marcelo Martinelli wrote:

I mentioned that coincidence (more as a joke) to Mike in March, and he told
me, that he really didn't think about James' ex-band, it is all about "rather
    ye rosebuds while ye may."

The who-could-replace-James-thing: When I read the hoax in German Rock Hard
magazine I seriously thought about it. There are some names on the list, like
Geoff Tate or Ray Alder, who could replace him because of their similar
range, but it wouldn't be the same, of course, and it wouldn't be that good.
It's not only James' range or his technique, it's the sound of his voice. It
just fits perfectly. Believe me, this hoax threatened me!

Speaking/writing about the Rock Hard hoax: It was very painful for the news
editor because he is also known as the biggest DT fan of the whole staff. So
in the following issue they had a little interview with James in the News
section. He said that the "Derek leaving for the next Kiss tour"-thing was
ridiculous, but he had an offer to be the musical director of the new Alice
Cooper band and to go on tour for a lot of money, but he refused because he
wants to work with Dream Theater. James also said that there is NO pressure
from the record company, he thinks that they wouldn't reduce the recording
budget even if the next album doesn't reach the sales of IAW, too. Hope he is
    right!

BTW: Why did no one from Germany mention that before? Nobody home, German
jammers? Ok, I'll write another mail, just for you!

    Bye.

    Hello once more!

This mail is for all the German and German speaking Ytsejammers, if there are
any left. So if you don't understand anything, don't worry, just skip over
this mail as you do with all the other waffle here.

    - cut here -

    Hallo, aufwachen!

irgendwann Herbst an.

What's the deal? Is everyone on summer break or something lately? There
hasn't been as many jams lately as there used to be.

I ordered that Rush tribute from cdconnection.com over a week ago. I
checked the status of my order and it still says "On Order". How long
does it take Magna Carta to acknowledge an order?

Everyone should give Magellan's version of Aqualung a chance. The more I
listen to it the more I like it. Sure it is different than the original
but it is still great in my opinion.

Of all the tribute albums I have I would say that Toad the Wet Sprocket's
version of Rock and Roll All Night by KISS is the version that is most
unlike the original. I like this version BTW...

Has Bob and Doug McKenzies album always been on cd? This is the album
that has the song Take Off on it which is sung by Geddy Lee. It also
contains their version of the 12 days of Christmas. I just picked it up
    for 9.99

I also picked up Talk by Yes. From some of the newsgroups I take it that
most people do not like this album at all. I think it is a good album.

If Rush does end up screwing Magna Carta over would anyone be interested
in starting a petition saying that they will boycott Rush unless Rush
    lets Magna Carta be?

Let me preface this by saying that if this got posted, and already answered,
sorry, but due to the jam going down, I missed about 5 issues, if the
sequential # system was picked back up. But if not then............

    Hi all!

This is my first post to the Jam, and I just had a few things I wanted to say

after lurking for a few months.

First off, I'm glad that DT is a band that has been good about releasing live

material. LATM and the extra tracks on ACOS in particular. I am also a big
Rush and Yes fan, and while these bands have released live material in the
past, it has been sporadic, and sometimes the releases contain the same
songs. True both of these bands are to release live albums within the next
year or less, but they are few and far between. I have oftened wondered why
bands don't offer a full live tour after the tour as a "snapshot" for those
who missed it, or for those who want to relive it. I'm glad DT seems that
they care enough about their performances and fans to want to release live
stuff in a timely manner. After all, it can't be too costly. So, here's
hoping for a forthcoming video or CD from DT, perhaps containing new material

and some from the Awake tour, when the '97 tour starts. Till then Mike
Bahr's CDs will have to do...

Second, I am curious about FW. Anyone tell me if they think I might like
them? As I mentioned, I like DT, Yes, Rush, and King Crimson, to name those
at the top of my list. I look for strong melodic structure, and just pure
power too, so that may give you and idea of why I like the groups I do. I
really admire James LaBrie's voice as well as Jon Anderson's. So, given that
can you reccommend a possible good first FW album?

Thanks in advance and take care all!

    Joseph
