I have heard the CD also, and it's really great!!! Definitely, the (IMO)
best Magna Carta band. It is also the closest to Dream Theater from all the
bands I know, but still very original. Every jammer should check it out!

    >Does LEMUR VOICE play live shows? The playing and arrangements sound very

Yes, they do play live shows. So far, I have seen two gigs in the
Netherlands. During the first gig they also played Metropolis, the Mirror, a
Rush song (I forgot which one) and a few more covers among their own
material. Their latest gig they only played their own songs however
(including a new epic song a la Metropolis, which will be released on the
    second album).

I agree, I also here some Fates Warning (John Arch) influences in the
    vocals.

    Definitely check them out.

The following is what I got from the National Midnight Star (The Rush
Internet mailing list). I thought some people might be interested.
Please don't mail me with any other questions. This is all that I
    know.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------

FINALLY!! What you've all been waiting for, drooling about, anticipating...
the tour dates!! Please note that only the first 4 have been positively
confirmed, but the rest are coming from a reliable source.

And one more thing -- DO NOT post "does anyone know if they're playing my
city Blahblahblah?" because I will delete it. These are the only dates so
far, asking for them will not make them happen any faster.

BTW, speaking of tourdates, I guess it's okay to break the news. The very
latest word is that IME will not be opening. In fact, there isn't any opener.
The tour is slated to be "An Evening with Rush", there will be a brief
intermission between the two sets midway through the show. Should be awesome.

After the dates in December, there are plans to go back on tour in the spring,
       possibly to do amphitheater/outdoor shows.

    Hey all,

Just wanted to let you all know that I found
Working Man at the local used CD store last night.
Now I know most of you could give a shit but the
reason I'm posting this is that they also had
about ten, that's right ten other copies of this
disk. So if anybody wants a copy, e-mail me and we
    can work something out.

    Attention Dale Newbury:

Try looking at Now Hear This. That's where I saw
all these copies but it was the one in Fairview
    Hieghts.

Also got real lucky and picked up a copy of Lords
of Sound for $35.00. They also had copies of
Unconsiously Real or Consiously Unreal, whatever
it is, and another boot called Home Sweet Home, I
think. ANybody interested, the above applies. I
believe they wanted around $19 or $20 per disk.

    Have a good day.

LOL!!! There was something posted to that effect on the Marillion newsgroup some time back, obviously, I laughed my ass off!

I believe someone posted that they saw that new prog box set, well I can give you a little info on that. It's called "Supernatural Fairy Tales" and the artwork for the box is done by legendary artist, Roger Dean (did album covers for Yes, Asia, Uriah Heep). I guess there were licensing problems with a couple of bands, so Pink Floyd and King Crimson are not on the box set. But, of course it's chocked full of your favorite prog ditties from Yes, Genesis, ELP, and a whole bunch of classic "underground" acts (like Gong and Van Der Graaf Generator). It's 5CDs, released by Rhino records, and retails at $60.

I have said enough, now it's time to walk in the shadows...walk with me!!! ;)

Yeah I heard it on the radio twice and I taped it. One part of the song reminds me of "show don't tell" and other parts remind me of "Victor" (Alex Lifeson's solo album). "Test for echo" has a sound similar to the sound used on "counterparts" but I feel that "TFE" goes beyond "counterparts." There's some new twist on the song that makes it different from "counterparts." I can't really explain it. But I am excited as anything about the new album.

i'm glad rick that you dug the fact i was kidding about my feelings toward rush (at least half-kidding).

anyways, without further ado, i announce to the world of the ytsejam, the creation of the wild and magical ibanez guitar!

a limited edition guitar (only one), this lovely guitar comes in neon yellow, with a clear pickguard (oooooh), and (as a tribute to one of his favorite guitarists, john pechoochoomi, brand new dimarzio air nortin and steve's special pickups (ooooooooh), with an hs-2 to fill the middle. to complete this insane setup, i chemically designed a push-pull pot to enable me to split the humbuckers, thus make them single-coil, here's the breakdown.

    humbucker - one coil= single-coil pickup= stratty tone= ahhhhhhhhh, emotional climax.

the pickups come in ugly green (hand picked by mr. kobayashi himself), and the volume know is marked to go to 11!!!! the body of the guitar comes with an array of holographic and glow in the dark stickers to make the guitar stick even more than it does in neon yellow alone.

the neck? who gives a shit? the price? who gives a shit. jon anderson said he'd flip the bill when he joins elp (after emo leaves to go to marillion and so forth- btw, scook, that was hilarious!).

so there. see ya tonight, and rock it.
