Alright, here I am again. I'm sorry I haven't replied to anyone in person
yet, but there's a good reason for that. The list of bootleg videos I have
is at a friend's house, and he's on vacation for a week! I promise as soon
as I get the list I will transfer it onto an email and I'll send it to all
of you who asked for a copy. I do remember a couple of details about
    purchases, though.
-All the vids are rated from A+ to C-, which means about 9 degrees of
quality. Also, it says if it was taped pro or amateur.
-All vids are in NTSC code, which means all of you who use PAL or SECAN
will have to have them transferred.
-Every hour of tape you wish to buy costs 12$ canadian funds. You can, of
course, divide if you only buy 3 minutes.
-You have to provide a VHS tape, or else you can buy one from the guy,
with varying lengths and quality, plus a couple of extra things can be
added if need be (a detailed list will be provided).

I have to warn you right now that I will not assume any costs or losses,
shipping and handling, or unsatisfactions of ANY kind. Those of you who
direct your flames at me, I will just delete your emails.

As soon as I get the list I will send it to everyone.
            Take care,
    Seb

P.S. I'm listening to 'The Ones Who Help To Set The Sun', and it really
    rocks!!!! Dream on!!

    Hey gang,

Recovering from the jam at People's Pub the other day. That was
a blast, even if BLevy and I had to wind our way through mysterious
mazes of Brooklyn streets to get there. . .man, I thought his head was
gonna blast out through the roof of my wife's car!
While I only spoke to a few other Jammers, I did collect a lot of
faces to match to names. . .especially Koba, kind of tough to miss. Just
to be fair to those none of you who care, I was wearing the Spinal Tap
    shirt.
I didn't know that Ethel Mertz was a cover band before I went,
but I really liked their set list. . .somewhat more on the "classic"
side than most of what I find in bars these days. And the Jam was, of
    course, listenable. ;)
I had met MP and JP before, two rather friendly guys (Not to
mention their lovely wives, the mighty MeanStreak!), and I was happy to
discover that Derek is also a real personable fella.

            Party on,

            DJ Kuul A

PS Did that singer remind anyone else of Ronnie Dio??? :) (Physically,
    I mean!)

    Jammers,

For those of you who aren't aware, I'm conducting a
prog-rock/metal tape swap where you compile a tape of obscure but
noteworthy bands and send them to three people... in return you receive
three tapes of similar composition. This is a great way to introduce
others to some of your favorite bands that deserve more attention, and
also an opportunity to broaden your own horizons.

Interested? Send me the following: name, e-mail address, and
    postal address...

            Send all correspondence to: tapeswap@reich.uark.edu

    Hi Kidz!

Ove rthe past year or so I have amassed a decent list of DT videos and
audios as well as other bands. If you would be interested in trading email
me and I'll send it to you. If you don't have anything to trade then the
tapes are $10 each on HIGH GRADE video tape and INCLUDES postage in the USA.
I use two hifi vcr decks for all dubs and if you ask around you can find
people who have traded with me before and can vouch for my credibility.

If you do email me, specify if you want my video and/or audio list and if
you want DT only or my entire list. I hope to hear from you all soon.

Well, folks, some have said that it would never happen. I doubted it a
great deal myself. But two YtseJammers have gotten together and are
dating. Pat "Gabbo" Griffin and Irene Raceu met online. I always knew
that Gabbo was talking to Irene, because he'd show up in my notify list,
but he was invisible and not on #ytsejam. Oddly enough, Irene always
was too. And Gabs always lied to me, saying, "Oh, we're just talking
about my girlfriend." Little did I know he was talking *to* his
    girlfriend. :)

I must admit I'm a little jealous of Gabs. I met a very nice girl over
the NMS who's currently giving me the runaround, so I have a guarded
attitude about net-relationships. But Pat and Irene seem to be working
out well for each other. Please wish them luck with their long-distance
relationship. At least they have the Net as a medium for conversation.

Dammit, when's Jennifer Aniston gonna log on to the #ytsejam??? :)

Congrats kids. Long live ytse-love. :)

never anyone in #ytsejam. Please make sure you set (or tell) your

    Date: Mon, 26 Aug 1996 02:50:51 -0700 From: Chris Oates <aspect@cats.ucsc.edu> To: ytsejam@ax.com Subject: pronunciation, Devon Message-ID: <199608260950.CAA04608@darkstar.ucsc.edu.>

    Pronunciation:

Since Majesty is pronounced: Maa jeh stee, I think that a proper phonetic reversal should be pronounced: Eet seh jam, which is the way I pronounce it (though I often slur it into Eet See Jam or sometimes Itsy-Jam, as in The Itsy Jammy Spider) -- Sure, it's not how the band pronounced it, but it seems better to me from a phonetics standpoint. It's how I pronounce it, so I'm sure when I'm at the Con I'll leave a big impression of "Oh, those Californians, always having to do things their own way."

If you think Devon sounds like a Death Metal singer, then one of us hasen't heard enough death metal, since all that I've heard (and not much mind you, just Atheist, Bolt Thrower, Cynic and some Misc) sounds nothing like Devon. Devon actually has a pitch even at his screamiest, and a typical Death grown has no pitch. I think Devon has more of a classic rock screamer and should be compared to the likes of Brian Johnson (of AC/DC, not the nerd in "Breakfast Club") in terms of style (Devon wins in my book) -- overall, I really like his rendition of Natural Science. Eric, on the other hand, one guy said he thought his singing was by a woman and therefore didn't like it, and another friend liked it because Eric's voice on Mission reminded him of his mother. Go figure. ;)

Mark Slaughter: Turn your head and sing, please.

    Hi all

this information is primarily intended for the Kraut Jammers, but can, of course be read by anybody else.

    ANGRA Tour Information

ANGRA will be touring Germany from the 17th to the 28th of October. The shows will be opened by Kamelot, and headlined by Virgin Steele. Let me know if you want any more info (towns/venues).

Just a short one from me today (as the bishop said to the actress), but as you may be able to guess, I have managed to "get into" Angra since last Monday, when I bought 'Holy Land'.

    Greetings fellow DT fans!

Hello from an English DT maniac. I've been on the Internet etc. for a couple of weeks and enjoy reading all the e-mails from fellow Jammers. Just a few points from me:

    i) Im surprised how many of us seem to have almost identical music tastes - shocked how many fellow DT fans love Tori Amos! ii) Working Man is excellent iii) Isn't it nice that the band we all love seem to have kept their feet on the ground and dont act like prima donas like some bands do - nice one guys! iv) As it seems Mike Portnoy and i'm sure all of us want a double CD for the next album is it worth doing something like you all did so well to get ACOS released - ie people power?? v) About the official Website - generally I think its excellent but am I being unfair to say the "Whats New" section isnt updated enough. Are the Management not keeping the guys who run the Website informed. I know how hungry for DT info we all are! vi) I dont know if this has been released in the US but one CD I would recommend to all fellow jammers is by a German band called VANDEN PLAS. The CD is titled "Colour Temple" and it is like QR+DT(Awake esp) - it is an excellent CD. It is on a record label called CNR MUSIC and the catalogue no. is 300005-2. It really is worth getting. Thanx for reading Till the next time Ytsemark. p.s. From now on will all Ytsejammers please be honorary STOKE CITY fans (my local soccer team). For info on them type in OATCAKE in a search engine and this should take you to the fanzine. Up the Potters!
