The keyboard player in my last band used three boards. Her primary
keyboard was the KORG T-1 and it had great sounds. She also has a
Roland R-50 and a R-80 with updated sound module. We did covers and
originals. She played everything from keyboard leads to rhythm guitar
parts on these boards. Go to a dealer and have them show you what is
new. These boards are older and new products get released everyday!

-Maybe the rest of the band has changed their outlook on botlegs.
I mean, if it hadn't been for bootlegs versions of ACoS, many of us
wouldn't have heard the song, and petitioned for it's release.

-The credits do thank us "On-Line Ytsejammers" for making the

Thanks to Johnny and Rickt for replying, and for the electronic
'journey' Johnny and I made during the day.

It seems this album is fairly rare, perhaps only released in Japan
seen occasionally in the US at $20-$40, or from the 'CDnow' web
             page. This description was sent:

This CD was recorded as a Japanese movie soundtrack after
"Captured" and before "Escape". It's a beautiful mix of Jazz
drumming (of course), screaming guitar (at parts), entire string
and brass sections, and, in my opinion, some of Steve Perry's best
             vocals.

             Thanks again Patricia

hello there, again. it's your friendly neighborhood kobayashi here, just
wanting to replay the info regarding my transcription of wait for sleep (just
in case you missed it). so far, i have received 10 interested parties and one
check. hoping more people follow. and as yitzik, digital man, frank and john
(gandalf?) may know, it is accurate. so before you go out and send me a
check, email me first so i know who you are. thanks a lot.

david, not waiting for sleep because it has left him, kobayashi

    ladies and gents:

what started out 3 years ago on a piece of paper has now become finalized on
my encore (mac version) program as a 7 page score to "wait for sleep." it
took me a while to remember exactly everything that goes on in the piece, and
after various bouts with my freaky notation program (pedals held too long,
tempos double or even quadruple timing on me for no reason), it's done and
    ready to go.

although my computer apparently freaked on me, the notes are right, the
rhythms are right (i disagree with some of the rhythmic values in the guitar
tab version; specifically, "in with the ashes" was kept in 6/8 in the book,
while i went to 4/4 there- the rhythms are changed to fit, though, so no
probs there), and it is quite organized on the paper. THIS IS NOT A TABLATURE
SCORE! this is what you were to read if you sat at the piano with this. i
played this for jp at the ngsw after his jam session (while he was packing
up, and he believed it to be very accurate), so this is no rinky-dink deal.

interested? please send me the following:
-a check for $2 made out to me, david kobayashi
-a self addressed stamped envelope (preferably a manila envelope, which
although it is a pain in the ass, at least your music won't be folded.

    Hi,

I've got a question for MIDI musicians using PCs. Which DT songs are
transcribed on MIDI and where can I get them. I've ftp'd under a Glass
    Moon before.

I'm also getting an AWE32 this weekend, so I want to hear it again with
wavetable samples. I know that there are many RUSH midi files for use
on the net, but of what quality are they? I've also heard about some
.MOV file. where can I get that?

BTW: I'd appreciate it if anyone would be able to recommend some good
    1) Midi sequencers, notation programs
    2) Guitar Tab notators,
... via EMAIL to ME, please!

    Thx.

    Message-ID: <199601112356.SAA03234@mail.ee.net>

Hello fellow fans of the best band in the Universe!

If you like Dream Theater and Doom2, you may be very interested in this post:

I create my own custom levels for the PC game DOOM2. Most of what I make are
made specifically for awesome "DeathMatch" showdown levels, but my latest
effort is going to have new twist to it...a Dream Theater twist!

The level is about 20% complete (a LOT of hours go into this production) but
here are some of the highlights you can expect to find if you order it from me:

Actual graphics of the band, like CD covers, will replace some of the wall
    textures.

Some of the sounds will be replaced by sounds from DT songs. When the player
screams from being shot, it will no longer be the scream from the game, it
will be a genuine James LaBrie scream!

When you enter the "spider web" room, instead of the door opening sounding
like a door, you'll here the chorus "Caught in a Web...".

    Etc....The rest is a surprise.

The level will not be complete for another 2 weeks, but you can sign up for
your copy in advance by emailing me at: buster@ee.net
I will respond to your email with more details......Dave

I forgot to mention one Doom2 level that I already have out, and it's free
to you if you request it in my email....I made a Queensryche level. It's not
very fancy, in that it doesn't have custom sounds or actual Ryche images in
it. I made the sectors out of the bands logo (the "bat like" symbol), and it
actually comes down from the cieling and can crush you in one of the rooms!
    heheheh

Also: I NEED A DREAM THEATER SONG IN MIDI FORMAT to use in my new DT
    level...can anyone help???

    anything by Stravinski,
an Italian progressive band called Il Balletto Di Bronzo. their album
"YS" is like a Progressive-Horror-Soundtrack, very heavy dissonent stuff.
they were around in the middle 70s.
most 70s stuff by Peter Hammill. this guy is amazing. (also check out his
    band Van der Graaf Generator.)
