It's as simple as that. I mean that's not what's gonna determine if this is
feasible or not. It's our capability of playing the songs. So let's send
our lists, please. This already will take a lot of time for each to figure
out which song they can play 100%. Also many can almost do songs but need
more time to reach 100%.

Hi.
I'm a little disapointed at the moment. I just dicovered that
this music business sucks. Why do they want to tell us what kind
of music we have to play and what cover we have to take for the
next albums... Can't believe it. We're still negotiating...
Sorry for wasting space here...
bye.

I got to put my ears on one of their album in 1993 i think. It sounded more
like a bunch of show-off music more than anything else. Plus there was this
singer with an awful agzent. Damn.

You're beside the point, dude. This is not about making money, but interest
and passion. And I can tell you that I've got a few grands-worth of 'em.
And that'll put a strain on my wallet, for sure. So anyone who's gonna get
into this better know the sacrifices involved. At the end, if this works
out, we'll know that the ones on the record will be the most devoted
musico-jammers on earth. :-)

Chris, get a fuckin clue will ya? We're taking our chances at this. If it
works ok if not ok but we'll have tried. DT don't either have the right to
indulge with Mike Bahr, right?
Plus I've already posted on how to go about releasing covers on a CD. These
are all things that are legally provided for. And you don't need shit
authorisation from anyone as long as you're not arranging the songs. That's
how copyright works. You pay the rights, and sue you no one should.

actually it was the instrumental part for Metropolis Pt.1. Erotomania had

it was cool, though, when the drums stopped briefly and we could all hear

i don't know. the only FW i've gotten (so far) has been old stuff, not
new. maybe Metal Blade will push the new album- the 60 minute song, that
is.
i guess what i meant to say in my first post was that at least Metal Blade
was doing something for GC, while Geffen promised so much but did nothing,
and even dropped GC while they were on the road touring with DT... not
saying that Metal Blade is doing a lot for every band in their catalog.
>I got into sorta argument with the lady at the metal blade email address.

sounds like the BS i get from radio stations. i've emailed a bunch asking
'em to play GC, or DT, or KX...and they always say how the like/love the
band, but they can't play it until they see how the national market is
taking it...bullshit!! when did it stop being about the music!? also, how
can a trend in airplay start without one or more stations to take a small
risk by playing something that isn't "in the charts."
maria from Metal Blade has always been nice to me via email, except for a
couple things she asked me to take off of my homepage... :)

i'm extremely glad that they're label-shopping after this tour!!
one thing, though, what was Atlantic thinking with a 14 RECORD DEAL!?!?!
that's insane!! i hope that was a joke, or misinformation...
was atlantic thinking that KX was the next Rush...
i love KX, but as a label you can't go around signing bands to deals like
that...especially if you're not going to promote them heavily (like
atlantic has done with KX, unfortunately).
looking to see GC/KX on aug 4th, and maybe again in detroit on aug 24th...

Hi everybody! I'm Matteo Gagliolo and I digit from a little wonderful country
called Italy.I am a fresh netsurfer and ytsejammer,so I will be glad to receive
any suggestion about using the net (I only have e_mail access, thru Freenet
Finland).
I heard one of you talking about Jason Becker some days ago,and that he has
released a new album.I have got his two Cacophony albums, and his first sol
o album Perpetual Burn. This expecially is a real masterpiece. I think Jason
is one of the best players in the world, who also reached perfection in
composing. He has reached the inspiration of his classical masters, Mozart
above all.
Then, rumours began to spread about the illness that stroke him,and about
the computer album ,and even about his death. The fact is that here in Italy
we have a few media to get fresh information about non-MTV artists, so at
the present time I still don't know if Jason is still alive, or what are
exactly his health conditions, or what he has released.
So please heal my anguish and tell me everything you know about Jason!

I just thought of something pretty cool...
Anyone ever think of getting the Majesty symbol made into a TrueType
font? I don't think there would be many copyright issues to worry
about, considering it's just a stylized version of the symbol used by
Mary Queen of Scots. We could distribute it as freeware and then
everyone could have a nice perfect scalable DT symbol to use on our
tape inserts and whatnot. Just a thought.
It would be even cooler if someone invested the energy to make a whole
alphabet from the lettering of the DT logo! Any volunteers?
Asleep, yet so afraid,
Jeff
