    Hiya Jammers,

My small troupe of musical instrument playing dudes, some think we
are a band, are going to be doing a cover of To Live Forever. I was
wondering if anyone out there has some lyrics for it or can point me
in the direction of some. BTW, we will also be doing a strange
version of Another Day, no keyboard/no sax. We are going to give it
a shot with 2 basses, one playing the bass line and the other, thru
some effects stuff, playing the keyboard/sax bits. Oh, we will still
have drums and guitar etc, so it should be fun *woowoo*.

ARGH! 2 x 4 needs to be faster.

    (fiddling with speakers)

Nevermind....just sounds shitty with the treble at normal and the bass all
    the way up. Better now.

Wow. This song triggers my involuntary headbanging mechanism.

    >Metallica's new album. With a name like "Load," I can already see the corny

Shut up or I'll turn 2 x 4 on full volume and shake your house down. :-)

House That Jack Built is purty cool.

    Whoa! It's VERY cool.

BTW......Mirthreindeer: Help me out here, man..does the Scarred outro change
tempo from the last chorus? That measure of 6/8 screws up my counting and
then I lose it when it goes back to 4/4.

Posting is more than a habit. It's a commitment.

E-Man: I'm listening to The House that Jack Built. I now know why it's
called a Talk Box. Sounds more like James retching in tune, though. :-)

    >What have you guys got against top 10 kind of entries? I myself am surprised

But, the other things aren't on the "Forbidden List" that comes with the
thing you get when you subscribed.

Kewl..Until Sleeps is on. I like dees song.

Yeah! Load rocks, man. They're a different band than they were ten
years ago. But, I've stopped buying AC/DC records because they're *not*
any different than they were ten years ago. I've heard those lyrics and
chord changes already. The new Metallica are here, and they're good.

    > Give the album a chance, especially, "Hero Of The Day."

Melodies! Harmonies! Happy chords! And still kinda dark lyrics.
Simply damn good stuff. And how about that picture on the staircase on
the "Cure" page? That's some funny shit!

My only complaint: no lyrics. :( Ah, well. You can hear most of them
    anyway. :)

Hey. I just read an e-mail from James Murphy, guitarist in Testament. According to him the band is quitting the business due to many obstacles which have stunted their development. James will be working on solo material.

My friend called me last night and said she talked to James and he is mixing the Rush tribute album. Is this true?

Some of us tend to think it is, actually:)

    > Oops... Is that anywhere >near "Columbia"?

    why yes.

    > >Actually, doesn't Panama' mean "plenty of fish" in an idiginous language?

so very true. My, what a learned man you are. In fact it also has other meanings. 'Land of butterflies' and 'surrounded by water' or something like that. >And by that matter, didn't they use to be part of Colombia?

Correct! In fact, the U.S. helped us get our independence so they could build that ditch, er canal, we have here.

Like the saying goes..."Life's a ditch, and then you die"

    >Rest-of-the-world >indeed. Would "vacar" be a reflexive verb? "Vacarse" Sounds like >trabajarse, if you know what I mean...

What a sick, sick mind.:) Actually 'vacar' means 'to be vacant'. Sorry, no cow context there:)

"Hey look, that motel seems to be cowing." :)

Curious comments on the new Pantera...what happened to Phil? He used to do some really kik-ass screams, but on this one he *really* sounds like he's throwing up.

I was listening to Fear Factory's 'Demanufacture', and I noticed that it was engineered by a Steve Harris... now I know it's rather ridiculous, but Maiden DID tour w/ F.F. didn't they? hmmmm... although I'm quite sure that if Steve was in any way inviolved, he'd be a producer or sumthin...but you never know...IM;s not making as much money as they used to ya know.:)

Just saw 'The Prophecy'.... I was rather disappointed. The ending was to quick... no suspenese or anything. I mean Lucifer just comes and rips the guy's heart out, the soul comes out of the little girl, and that's it... waddup w/ that?...well, at least the Skid Row song at the end was cool...

Well it seems that instead of getting the jam cluttered w/ posts about the holocaust, we got it cluttered w/ posts preventing them. Go figure.

    (Yes I know, I'm guilty)

Oh BTW, what was the painting that the 'Until it Sleeps' viedo is based on? Can't find that post..

    Seth screamed on this.

    C-ya, wouldn't wanna B-ya!! Ernie :)

I think Load is basically a continuation of TBA. If you like TBA you will like Load. It is not old Metallica. It is not pure Thrash. Not all of the old Metallica albums are pure Thrash either. I have Ride the Lightining which has Thrash and lighter stuff, AJFA, TBA, and Load and I like all 4 cds...

The cd booklet contains tons and tons of pictures. I have to say that the short hair and makeup has to go...

After listening to this album, I must say that it's better than I thought it would be. There are some good songs on there (1, 6, 7, 10 are my favorites, so far). The Black album didn't appeal to me, but this one is better, IMO.

    - Just borrowed Live in Tokyo from my nephew. It kicks! I had never heard To Live Forever before. One of my favorite grooves of theirs. Any recommendations for similar stuff.

    - I found an application called Motif CD Player. It has a really nice feature. When you insert the disc, it scans a lyric database at an internet site and if it find an entry for the disc id, it pops up the track info. Also lets you send in lyrics for stuff not there yet. Real nice!

    - You're using Netscape's mailer and you've finished reading a message which is now ready for the trash. You also happen have new mail that's just arrived.
