(Sobs, sniffles & tears) Looks like I'll have another wedding to attend.
(Big sobs) I'm stuck in that "always a bridesmaid - never a bride" or that
"your invited to my wedding btw I'm registered at Macy's" rut...

Now, I would pay to see this:

It's a Ytsecon - Bafu and AirDance tie the knot and become King and Queen
of Ytsejam and DT plays the reception!

    Hello!

I'd like to introduce myself once more since my first posting didn't appear
in the jam. I'm the one of two Polish jammers. I read almost all digests
since november and I have to say this is a good time for me. This list gave
me an opportunity to know about DT more than I could find it any other way.
I know that Mike Portnoy sometimes reads jams, so listen Mike: It would be
cool to make the next Dream Theater tour a bit bigger than the previous
ones and play somewhere in eastern parts of Europe, for example in Poland.
Here are also some people who love Dream Theater. :)
So, I'm with you people! :)

Bye for now, and.... jam on!

Hey jammers..i totally agree with everyone saying record sales dont mean
sh*T..i mean..look at everything on the radio and Mtv right
now..hootie,silverchair,presidents of the us,foo fighters and bands like
those..and some years back "poison, warrant, guns and roses (i dont know
if anyone here likes gnr, personally i hate it).. even more true..PEOPLES
ACCEPTANCE is NEVER a sign of quality in music..specially today..with
such f*cked up bands being on the charts and such f*cked up guitarrists
on the pages of guitar player and other mags that used to be reserved
for people like Vh,or Steve Vai..and maybe Iwngie (right?) Malmsteen..or
other cool guitar players..not that guy from the smashing pumkings..i
mean popularity definately does not equal quality or talent..neither
does record sales or airplay... just my 2 cents

            Heeeello!

            1. I was looking for 'One Vision' there and totally forgot
Flash Gordon =(. It's the only album fron Queen I don't own.
(Except that first live thingy, but i think i have a dub of
that somewhere). So rub it in, will ya !! =)

            2. Okie...I was caught saying bad thing about Yngwie. I love
'Far Beyond the Sun'. Makes me shudder all the time. Actually
he does try different things. Just listen to 'Bedroom Eyes'
from Eclipse, kinda bluesy. Sooo...It's very immature and selfist
to rant on a player for not playing the stuff I want him to
            play. I apologize.

            I got my ytse-shirt !!!! It's cool, it's hot, IT'S PURPLE !!!
            Thanks Trey....I love ya ! =)

Uhhh...No kewl quote here. Not even one doomed attempt at humor
in the above. Sigh, guess I need to start posting drunk. Seems
            to work =)

    Hey Jammers,
Just sending a powt reminding you all in the New York City area of the
Atlantis show this Saturday in Jersey City. The name of the club is
Escapades. I'm not quite sure how to get there (I'm going on a bus trip up
with the band) but It's a fairly well known club and directions should be
easy to come by. For the people who missed the last post Atlantis is a
great prog rock/metal band who are trying to establish a following in the
area. They're alot like DT and even do a snipet cover of TTT. I highly
recomend checking these guys out. THe show is all ages and cost is $5 21+,
$7 all others. I think this could be a good place for area jammers to get
together and hear some great orig. prog. If you go look for the guy in the
Home For the Holidays tour shirt and Kappa Delta Rho baseball cap....that's
me. Hope to see you there.
    Later,

    Hey people...

Jaime has told me that every once in a while, someone keeps asking where I
am. Whoever this person is, please stop - she threatened to kill ME because
of it. <grin> Anyway, contrary to popular belief, I am not quite dead yet.
Life's been a strangely horrific epic of late.

If you went to the Birch Hill show, and saw me there with my
girlfriend...it's open season on her. We're done. I'm not working at the
radio station anymore, and I'm pretty much sitting around on my ass waiting
for calls back about my radio demo tape.

Other than that, life couldn't be better! If you're looking for me, you see
    the address. =)

I'll resubscribe one of these days.

    Love to all,

well, except for one unfortunate soul, i'm glad to see no one michelangeloed.

mac's are michelangelo proof?? really?!?!?!?! to the fellow who mentioned
that, please email me with a detailed explanation. mind you, i'm now computer

    you.

the man of the living colour bass debate-
ok, ok, so you like muzzy better than doug. apples and oranges. that's cool.
if you ever really want to give doug a last chance listen, pick up a living
colour import called "dread." it is amazing. about 13-14 live tracks, 4
unplugged, and 1 (or was it 2? i left that cd at home) new studio songs (one
a prince cover). it is great stuff going on there.

man, i just got birch hill tape. not bad at all!!! cool!

ummm....................ytsecon in ny! yay!!!!!!!!!! fuck jersey!
well, kidding about jersey. but ytsenewyork! c'mon, what a great
    advertisement slogan.

ummm.....the state of popular music today.
yeah, it sucks. yeah, i know. yeah, cheese is the dominant chord in our pop
    culture.

"we celebrate mediocrity, we worship crap." -screaming headless torsos

but you know what? we're the minorities here. and we might as well revel in
our own whatever we call it, because as long as the suckas have the money and
the emptyvision, we'll never get anywhere with our musick and our message.

but oddly enough, as much as i hate pop music (most of it, anyways), there is
actually some valid shit to learn from them (in some cases, it's "never
listen to it or them again"). but alas........no more talk from me about
    that.

i got a kick out of the guy who made the stink about "what's the big deal
    with dt?" that was funny.

re: duran duran (i think this goes to marc respass)
duran duran is actually pretty cool. there's this guitarist, his name is
warren cucurullo, as in, "of course i'll introduce you to warren."

as ex- zappa guitarist. as in crackheaded guitar boy.

    he's cool.

though(t) industry in da house, funky fresh!
if you happen to hear that thought industry is coming to town go see them!!!

anyone going to go see them @ the batcave on mar. 16 (nyc)> i will probably
be decked in some black attire (it is a gothic club, and supposedly, you HAVE
to wear black, or they beat you or something)

this all came to me after reading about the cowboys tour dates, and something
    about metal blade mentioned.

I got into Testament about 7 years ago as a sophomore in college. Besides The
Ritual, definitely check out Practice What You Preach and Souls of Black.
These two discs are two of the heaviest in my collection (check out "The
Ballad", "Practice...", "Greenhouse Effect"). THEY ROCK! Chuck Billy and Alex
    Skolnick stand out.

If you're in Chicago and want an alternative to MTV, check out Ch. 19 on
Friday and Saturday nights at about 8 p.m. Great local vid show highlighting
local bands and national artists. It's hosted by the guy who MC's Rockabilly
night at DejaVu (Lincoln Park, first Thurs. of the month). Talk about a crazy
night out. Anyway, a few weeks back, the show was a tribute to glam band of
the late 80s early 90s. Kick Tracee, Winger, Poison, Vixen, etc. It was great.
And as the man said....You may think it's cheesy, now, but you enjoyed it for
a reason. It's good time rock and roll...."It's music, not a term paper." It
brought me back to the early days of college when Ratt, Dokken, early Extreme
and Tesla ruled the CD player (sniff....sigh).These kids today....I used to ha
ve to walk through ten feet of snow to get to the record
    store....uphill.....BOTH WAYS!!!

Finally, African-American artists on Unplugged: I believe someone asked whan
was the last time you saw that, and someone else responded Lenny Kravitz about
a year ago. A YEAR AGO!!! With all of the black artists they play videos of?
I'm sure BoysIIMen must've been on..LLCoolJ...Arrested Development. But what a
lack of representation considering how many African-American artists show up
otherwise....I mean, Tony Bennett? What a joke of a vehicle!(DAMN, Idalis is F
OOOOIIIIIIIIINE!!!). I only catch the MTV once in a while, but I'm sure this
argument is pretty close to correct.

    Anyway....LATER-

    Steve

Hey everyone!!! I got home last night and collapsed on my bed in a heap
of sore (very!), exhausted, dehydrated flesh. The reason for this state:
    WHITE ZOMBIE & FILTER!
Ouch! I have to say I am very impressed. They played last night at the
Compton Terrace outside of Chandler, AZ. It was one of the last gigs on
the tour, so if your interested, check 'em out before it goes away!
Altogether though, these guys kicked some (and my) serious @$$!! J.
played a great show, much better than I've ever given him credit, and the
bassist, Sean...oh mann...I'm in love with this woman! She has a smile
that would melt ice in Stygia. WOW!

I am in serious need of a massuse just now!

    Some other things:

    1) I say Yngviwxe (or however the hell you spell it! :) ) last year
and although the guy was a great musician...I can't help but think he's
    just a fat, womanizing slob!

    2) "Dungeons & Dragons" was one of the best, but "Transformers" was the
inspiration for my life! I'd wake up seven hours early to catch this
show, and unfortunately in Vermont, everythings about three months late.
But still, it was without question, the best! ("Snorks" was cool, too!)

    3) I just cut up my BEST BUY card, and I reccomend the same to everyone
who has one! These things are an evil addiction, brought on by the Great
Old Ones to clear the earth for their return. Basically just the result
of $80 of CDs in three days. (Ouch!)

    4) ***DT CONTENT*** Sorry! ;)

    5) Lastly, on the 7-disc:
1 - "When Dream and Today Unite" Majezty (jus kiddin)
    2 - "Wish" The Cure
    3 - "Short Bus" Filter
4 - "Collective Soul" Collective Soul
5 - "Live at Brixton Academy" Faith No More
6 - "Manic Nirvana" Robert Plant
7 - "Inside Out" Fates Warning

Gonna check out Iron Maiden/Fear Factory at the Electric Ballroom in
Tempe on APRIL 1. Be there or be square!
