Gilbert....touche...You may have a point about the Aerosmith guys being
honorary. However, they WERE mentioned in the Berklee ad as having gone there,
not just some guys in the shot. The comparison to Bruce D. pictured with DT
meaning "he's in the band" is irrelevant. The ad wasn't a celeb photo
opportunity, it was a resume of names who supposedly went to Berklee. That's
all I can say about this topic, 'cause that's all I know. But thanks for doing
the research. Your answer may be the right one. LATER-

ALRIGHTY! I see the pain we have caused. I have felt the growing heat
from our fellow ytsejamians who despise the nature of our conflict. I
shall now declare a .SIG CEASE FIRE!!! A D.S.Z (DE-SIGatized ZONE) Shall
be in force upon this section of The Web, and all shall participate in
the acts of Peace and Harmony!! From now on (I do so declare) ALL of the
posts emanating from my modem shall contain at least a smidgeon of DT
content. (Which is fitting, Being this the Ytsejam and all) All .SIG
files shall be peaceable, happy SIG files. The smiling faces of Sir

sillyness, and do solemnly swear to take this battle to where it belongs!

I just got back from seeing Joe Satriani last night in Santa Rosa. It was a
killer show...I had tears in my eyes! Stu Hamm kicked ass! :) Had a great
time, went to a meet and greet before the show. I got a free sampler CD with
his autograph, had him sign his new cd sleeve, and took photos with him. He
is a great guy....too kind...but, he has no hair. Yes it is all shaved off.
:) He looks good though. Just thought I would share my great night, and I
hope whoever else is going to see him, has as much fun as I did. Especially
    you Dave in Riverside.

interested in reviewing my bands demo tape? We spent a lot of time putting
it together and it would be cool to a)get some feedback on it and b)get a

Metal. Anyone who may be interested please email me privately.

    Hey everyone!!!

Got a few things to say

    1) About the Kevin Moore homepage...looks great!! Just hope its not
another one of those "Impossible Pain" things. (NIN fans'll know about
    this one).

    2) To the guy who flamed the BART&HOMER sig (the one with about 700
iterations of SHIT!)...I understand the lack of taste in the posting of
the sig, but lets get a bit of maturity when you write something...you
sound like you work in a machine shop on the lower east side...doesn't
give you much in the way of credebility!

    3) Oh yeah...my contribution to the Great War of Signatures. With the
battles raging on all fronts...millions of chickens and stickmen lying in
bloody pools of murky trnch water, marhmallows flying overhead while the
piles of mangled flesh grow higher and higher around the ivory gate of
dreams...Ho! From a diamond in the rough comes a creature with
PHENOMENAL COSMIC POWER (itty, bitty living space)!!!! Throwing down all
aggressors before him with a mere pass of his hand, the Genie closes out
the war in one fell swoop. Smote like sheep, the losers crawl back to
    their lairs, waiting....

    Jammers,
Just picked up Carved in Stone at Graywhale. Does anybody know why
they deleted the even numbered songs on the cover? The only even
number song is #8 all the rest are skipped. I've only been able to
hear the first song and it definitely is interesting stuff. I'm
unable to make a review yet obviously. They list an email of
Prophet@esu.edu right under the fan club address. I guess I'll try
    that to see what happens.
While I was there, I saw a CD by I Mother Earth-Dig. Does anybody
know about this? It was in the used rack, along with 3 DT (DT
content) CD's. Let me know if I should buy this.
I'm wearing my sweat shirt from Trey and got comments about it
from the guys working there wanting to know where they could buy lots
    of them to sell :>.

    Later,

When you listen to the whole disc, pay close attention. There are little
interludes between each major cut, and those are on the even numbered tracks.
Freaked me out for a while, too.

While we're on the subject of non-DT bands, I got my first crack at Fates

    Better than Shadow Gallery, IMHO.

    HEllo Jammers,

This isn't even hard, besides on r.m.p I think they banned use of
Bruford in this game since it is too easy for people to use him.

    1. Dream Theater 2. Steve Howe (guested at Ronnie Scott's gig with DT)
    3. Yes (Steve Howe is in Yes) 4. Bill Bruford (Was in Yes ages ago and
    on Union)

Piece of cake, it is probably more fun to not go to Bruford but someone
else in the prog world, and not allow use of Bruford. Lots more fun.

    Later,

    Mike

    I agree...

The soundtrack was released on CD though. (Scott, I'll probably send
you a VHS tape later this week...)

I know there are more 'jammers in the Bay Area than people are
letting on. No one has volunteered to try to have some 'con out
here. I guess CA really is a rat race. Perhaps, the best we can
hope for is a get-together at the Taco Bell across from The
Warfield when the tour comes to SFO !>)>

Speaking of tours, I saw the Satriani show in SJ the other night,
and it was unf**kingbelievable! The last time I saw him was for
the FIABD tour, with Stu and Jonathon backing, and I thought it
sucked (for Satch). He must've been tired that time (or depressed
because Eric Johnson opened). I didn't even see him on _The Extremist_
tour because of that (and Hamm and Mover weren't backing him) This
time he was incredible! He added so much to those songs live...
I was in awe watching him make love to his guitar so effortlessly.
Mover was great, and Stu Hamm and his bass: one man band. He did
a great bass solo, though I missed the "Linus and Lucy" bit. If you
get a chance... go see it! He even made the songs from the new album
sound good (yes, I don't care for it). Petrucci who? (whoah, just heard
    some thunder !>|>

    That's about it.

Alright! Who's the Electric Company whacko around here? (Look out, Spidey!)

Are we fanatics, or what? (I'll stick with my Seikos...)

That's what I told this guy at a _Subway_ shop the other night.
He saw me wearing my DT sweatshirt, and said, "So, you like
Dream Theater, eh?" (duh). I went into a long spiel... told him
how all of us were religious DT zealots on a holy crusade, and so
    on...

    >Huh? What Metallica "should've done after the Black album"? Correct
    >me if I'm wrong, but Live Sh*t: Binge & Purge was a live album. So you've
    >heard the new album? How is it?

I'm an idiot (no prefix). I meant *before*. I say this because the guitar
melodies kind of remind me of some of Kirk's solos on AJFA. Death's, though,
are way out there beyond that. I think they are really beautiful. (Yes,
there is beauty to be found in death metal).

I picked up _Individual Thought Patterns this weekend, too. I've only
listened to it a few times, but I think it's really good. I still
prefer _Symbolic_, because the songwriting is more mature, while the
power and energy are still there.
