    Really?
    I'd think you were joking.
Please, tell me you're joking. That's really bad.

IMO, it doesn't really sound like he's saying the turtle thing.
Sounds like "first dance eternal to me.

Krrrrrrraccccck....you HAD to have been joking.
Under all the sarcasm around here lately, you probably were.
Right now, that is my belief.

    Hello people.
Well, I'm not a subscriber for a few months now, but as I recall from my
subscription days, a new DT album is due out soon.
It would appreciate it so much if someone could drop me a line about it
(a date?). It's kinda hard getting that sort of info in Israel, where I live.
    Thanks in advance

After searching for MONTHS to no avail, I finally found my own copy of I&W on
    video.
I must say the MP's drum so does kick serious butt. The brief spot of
Pantera's "By Demons Be Driven" was an eye-opener. I heard that he snuck it
in there, but I didn't know it would sound so good.

Balls 'n Chunk is were it's at... I'll say.

Another Day should have gotten airplay on the light rock stations here in the
Cleveland area. Radio shoves mush down your throat with heavy rotation of
Seal's "Kiss From A Rose" and that damn Whitney Houston song from that movie
of her's, why can't radio play Another Day. There is no justice in this
    world!

I will be getting a new internet access this week, so look for me on the IRC
more often. Along with that, I will have a new e-mail address as well.

Talk to you on the IRC, George.

College. Most of the subscribers to this (and I'm sure many other lists)
are college students. Right now is the end of the semester and finals,
so there is a large chunk of people that won't be getting/posting for
about 3 months. There are going to be less 'jams. Deal with it. :)

Just a quick note... the Bahr cat, "Tori Amos", was the proud
mother of five kittens slightly after midnight on the morning of Mother's
Day. (What's that I hear in the back about "ironic"?) :) Alas, one of the
kittens did not survive the night, but the other four are happy and
healthy and contentedly sucking away at Tori's undercarraige.

Any Ytsejammers that want one (for free) are welcome to one,
assuming of course that you live in the area, as cats have a hard time
making it through shipping. They're a cross between a Bengal and a
domestic shorthair (mutt). Bengals are usually pretty expensive... dsh's
are generally NOT. :) I was lucky to have a local friend who was willing
to breed his bengal tom with Tori. Anyway, if you want one, let me know.
I think they have to stay here for 3 weeks, and then they're old enough
to go out on their own. These cats all have type BB dander, which will
not aggravate any except the worst allergies (the type where you're
allergic to dogs and rodents as well as cats).

So then slow guitarists don't buy rap CDs at all... :) (Sorry, I had to say it. That's not even IMO, I like some rap...
Don't flame me for blanket statements, because all flamers have small brains. IMO, of course. ;)

Exactly. Look at JP's solo in Voices. Anyone who can... Wait a minute... That sounds like the start of a BLANKET
STATEMENT... I better rephrase that... Listen to the Voices guitar solo and then see if you can honestly say that fast
players can't play FAST with soul.

sorry, recent verification tells me that the limit for a CD is actually 75:14. I got the numbers mixed up. Hence the
sticker on the Awake CD, as well as the DT Interactive program, saying the maximum length of a CD is 75min... They're just
rounding. 14 seconds is no big deal, unless you're claiming that DT crammed every second of music they could into the
CD... Just wanted to clear ya (and myself) up...

Boy have I been out of it. At least I'm caught up on my Jam's.

Bought my first Rush CD. I got Permanent Waves because it has Spirit of Radio and Freewill on it, probably my 2 favorite songs of those that I've heard. It's going into my alarm clock. Let's see if Spirit of Radio can wake me up in the morning. I hope so. :)

I originally went into the music store because they had gotten in my Moonspell CD. I listened to it, and while the music is good, the vocals really turned me off. Where are these guys from? The accent doesn't sound like your typical German Prog-Vocals. Anyhoo, I wouldn't recomment it for people who like melodic vocals.

I also listened to Saga's Generation 13, and found it a bit lacking in energy, so I got Savatage's Streets instead.

So, the final score is: Rush & Savatage bought, Saga & Moonspell left mehind.

And, in case you didn't hear me before, Enchant kicks about as much butt as one can and still be on the "rock" side of the Prog Rock vs Metal category. Get these guys if you enjoy the musically lighter side of things. Pop it into track 3 (Oasis) and sit back. No, they aren't in the the "so complex it'll make your head fall off" category, but they are superbly effective as songwriters and musicians. I think I actually prefer them over Shadow Gallery right now, even though I'm more of a metal-based progger.

Just in case any of you are interested. I jsut stumbled accross a new web site set up by/for Jason Becker.

    The URL is : "http://www.guitarists.com/"

The new CD, "Perspective", as well as T-shirt, and video are available. Also for there are many "hidden" links on the album cover pic so search for them. I eventually broke down and went through the URL http://www.guitarists.com/jason.becker/objects/ so I made sure I did not miss anything.

Also Jason's email address is there so you can send him email.

Kirk mentioned that he listens to PJ Harvey, and it showed with all the makeup he was wearing. what a sick sight!!! Also he sounded so dumb whenever he'd open his mouth. anyone agree? There should be 14 songs on their new album, probably 3 minute- alternative-bullshit (I hope I'm wrong) to go with their new-look.

Hey Kids, First post from the new address. Went to see Ethyl Mertz with Mojo and several underage jammers on Friday night. It was not that great. While Derrick is most definetly cool, you could hardly hear his parts. Also the music that they played was not very Keyboard oriented. I think he had fun just jamming to some blues though, a break from the ultra technical DT stuff. The place was alittle rough I must say, but I did warn you though.

Afew posts ago someone commented on the fact that Van Halen was the only band to survive the loss of a singer, well here is a list of several other bands that have survived and thrived with New singers. 1) Iron Maiden, with Bruce Dickinson 2) Genesis, W/ Phil Collins 3) DT/ James Labrie 4) Fates Warning W/ Ray Alder 5) Marillion

These are just a few, I'm sure there are plenty more.

    Elen sila lumenn omentilmo, Mithrandir
